Job Summary

The Plant Supervisor is responsible for supporting the operation and maintenance of Vistra Power Generating Stations. The position may require some travel in the support of other Vistra Power Generating Stations. Pay range between $105,000 and $145,000 annually, depending upon skills/experience. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus and profit sharing, up to 6% dollar-for-dollar match toward the employee's 401k, and medical/dental/vision benefits for the employee and their eligible dependents.       

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

Supporting all aspects of the day–to-day operation and maintenance of a generating station
Accountability can include supervising and directing multi-skill production and maintenance support personnel to achieve maximum reliable and safe operation of the generating units
Effectively manage employee/labor relation in accordance with company policies and labor agreements where applicable
Ensure and monitor safety and environmental compliance, regulatory compliance, administrative and procedural compliance, and documentation
•Overseeing the daily operations within the plant, FGD, and Coal Yard
Supervisor may be asked to respond to emergency call out situations and assist in operational issues
Interface frequently with outside vendors and contractors
Planning and Scheduling for plant site

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable to some of the skills listed
•5-7 years of power generation plant experience
Candidate must be experienced in using Maximo for planning work, creating purchase requests, and creating job plans        
Experience with operations and maintenance at a power plant.
Power generation plant supervision, leadership, communication, problem solving and decision-making skills preferred
Good computer skills using Word, Excel, and Outlook
Experience in computer maintenance management systems and an understanding of PMMS and/or Maximo programs preferred
