The Press Feeder operates the lithographic press, collaborates with the press crew, monitors production quality, and ensures safety while maintaining machinery.
Job Purpose:
Job Responsibilities:
● Operate the press based upon instructions provided.● Work with press crew to ensure each job is produced to customer specifications, meeting
internal and external deadlines.
● Report the status of projects and any issues of machinery to the head press operator.
● Read and understand job tickets and verify that stock matches job specs on ticket before loading press.
● Transfer paper to and from machinery using industrial trucks or hand trucks.
● Monitor paper as it runs through the press and make adjustments to the operations to prevent paper jams.
● Assists in performing routine maintenance on the press with the press team members as
required.
● Follow all safety policies and regulations.
● Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:
● Must have a minimum of 2 to 4 years experience as a Press Feeder
● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines under pressure
● Ability to work independently as well as with a crew/team
Work Experience:
2+ years related experience preferred● Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.● Ability to work quickly and efficiently.Education:
