The Pricing Specialist position obtains drayage pricing for both import and export loads through 
rate analysis, knowledge of market levels, company cost structures, and profit goals. This position is responsible for quoting all rates, ensuring that our rate is competitive and profitable within the drayage market.
RESPONSIBILITES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
•     Determine best method of shipment to quote based on customer’s routing.
•     Provide customers with quoted rate within company targeted timelines.
•     Analyze volume bids utilizing spreadsheets and coordinate pricing with management.
•     Track quoted rates and negotiation of vendor pricing.
•     Manage high volume of email to prioritize workload; follow policies and procedures.
•     Obtain truck availability within targeted price range.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•     1-2 years’ experience in an office setting/environment.
•     Ability to manage 100-200 emails daily.
•     Demonstrated experience in high volume customer service setting.
•     Detailed oriented mindset with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
•     Strong interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), and follow-through skills.
•     Proficient with Microsoft Suite applications: Excel, Word, Outlook and Internet Browsers.
•     Typing skills at 50 words a minute.
•     General knowledge in Domestic Geography and Country Time Zones.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
•     Knowledge of CargoWise One software.
•     Knowledge of Transportation Industry –specifically International Container Drayage
•     International experience – Steamship Lines, Freight Forwarders, NVOCC’s, etc.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
•     Required to sit for long periods of time.
•     Required to talk and hear for use of telephone.
•     Close vision required for use of computer.
•     Use of hands for repetitive typing required.
