Where you will work: This position offers a hybrid work option up to 50% remote and is based out of the Naperville, IL; Mankato, MN; Lakeville, MN; or Baldwin, WI office locations.
The contributions you will make:  This position supports lending teams by providing expertise in pricing strategy, transfer pricing, and related systems to drive profitable business growth. Advises sales teams on pricing options, delivers training on pricing concepts and processes, and ensures accurate execution of daily pricing activities, including rate administration and loan fee calculations. Serves as a key liaison with the funding bank, manages pricing tools and models, and contributes to system enhancements and process improvements. Additionally, produces reporting and analysis on interest rates, portfolio performance, and risk to inform leadership decision-making and strengthen pricing strategy.

A typical day: 

  • Develops and delivers standard and ad hoc reporting and analysis on interest rates, portfolio pricing, interest rate risk, mortgage pricing, pipelines, and pool sale execution, providing insights that support pricing strategy, risk management, and business decision-making.
  • Participates in cross-functional projects to automate, enhance, and innovate pricing processes and promote effective delivery of pricing strategies through research, analysis, and recommendations for innovative pricing solutions and product offerings.
  • Supports the lending teams through knowledge of Compeer’s pricing strategy, AgriBank’s transfer pricing products and related system implications.
  • Provides pricing consultation, education, and training to sales teams and leadership on pricing strategies, transfer pricing concepts, and profitability impacts to optimize pricing outcomes and support informed decision-making and profitable business growth.
  • Administers organization rates through the daily pricing processes.
  • Supports model risk management for all Asset Liability Committee (ALCO)/pricing models, including contributing to individual model design and development, maintenance, documentation, and validations along with daily administration and support for front line users.
  • Serves as a liaison with the Funding Bank and their Funds Pricing System. Includes troubleshooting pricing issues to identify optimal solutions, preparing special pricing quotes for large and unique loan structures, and keying and amending rate locks.
  • Calculates prepayment penalty fees, conversion fees and other servicing action fees as necessary.
  • Provides pricing support for corporate technology such as Salesforce, nCino, Centric Conversion-Reprice, and Optimal Blue.

The skills and experience we prefer you have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, statistics, mathematics, business administration, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in loan pricing or profitability analysis, asset liability management, debt capital markets, or financial analysis at a financial institution.
  • Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem solving, decision making, and organizational skills. 
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office suite, customer relationship management (CRM) programs, and data analytics programs.  
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. 
  • Knowledge of loan profitability and asset liability management concepts. 
  • Knowledge of macroeconomics, interest rate markets, and loan products and structures. 
  • Knowledge of traditional mortgage lending, secondary market lending, and loan pooling process. 
  • Experience with loan pricing and profitability models. 
  • Strong financial research and analysis skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other teams to achieve goals and represent the business.  
  • Valid Driver’s license.

The actual title and base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role is eligible for variable compensation and other benefits.
