Role Overview

We're hiring a Principal Product Manager to own a high-impact surface area spanning pay-ins, payouts, geographic expansion, and merchant experience — with room to grow into a leadership role across the broader product org.

The role sits at the intersection of four areas:

  • Core product and infrastructure — the checkout and withdrawal experiences our merchants rely on, plus new pay-in and payout capabilities

  • Geographic expansion — where we expand next, and the strategy and execution to get there

  • Fraud and decisioning infrastructure — the systems that protect the platform and our merchants at scale

  • Vendor and banking partner onboarding — end-to-end procurement and implementation of payment providers, banks, and networks, coordinating requirements across engineering, legal, compliance, and operations to get partners live

You'll work directly with engineering, data, legal, operations, and finance to ship a world-class product that moves money globally in seconds.

This is a high-ownership, high-ambiguity role. You'll operate with limited structure, identify problems before they're handed to you, and drive execution end-to-end.

What You'll Do
  • Build market strategy for geographic expansion — research and prioritize new geographies, develop go-to-market strategy, identify product gaps, and ship the offerings that close them

  • Own global payments vendor procurement — identify pay-in and payout providers across target markets, run structured evaluations across pricing, coverage, compliance posture, and technical fit, drive MSA and legal review, and own the relationship post-onboarding

  • Own the merchant and developer experience — checkout, withdrawals, and API surface, from first integration through steady state

  • Shape fraud and decisioning product — partner with risk and data to improve approval rates and loss performance without adding merchant friction

  • Translate operational complexity into shippable product — work with engineering and data to turn dense regulatory and operational requirements into clear specs

  • Drive decisions with data — analyze performance, surface insights, and iterate quickly

  • Contribute broadly across the product org — as you ramp, take on generalist work across pay-ins, payouts, and orchestration

What You Need
  • 7+ years of product management experience, including ownership of a complex technical or regulated surface area

  • Track record of shipping end-to-end — from ambiguous problem to production

  • Demonstrated ability to define a problem space and build the roadmap yourself

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Working knowledge of payments rails — how pay-in and payout providers differ, what makes one better in a given market, and how vendor selection affects pricing, compliance exposure, and product capability

About You
  • High bias for action — you move fast, default to building, and unblock yourself

  • Operationally fluent — you can sit with a compliance analyst or underwriter, learn their workflow in depth, and translate it into product requirements

  • Raises the operating bar — you find the process that's held together by one person's memory and turn it into something that scales. Manual steps get automated, tribal knowledge gets documented, and the team gets faster because of work you did.

  • Obsessed with customer experience — you hold internal tools to the same UX bar as merchant-facing surfaces

  • Rigorous with data — you instrument what you ship, and let the numbers change your mind

  • Drawn to hard problems — payments and risk are high-stakes and unglamorous, and that's the appeal

  • Builder mindset — you take real ownership and treat the product like it's yours

Nice to Have
  • Cross-border or multi-market payments experience — you've launched in a market where the rails, regulator, and settlement mechanics were all unfamiliar

  • Risk or underwriting product work — you've shipped against approval-rate and loss-rate tradeoffs, not just funnel metrics

  • Product work under heavy regulatory constraint — you've shipped in an environment where the regulation shaped the design, not just the disclosure copy: NACHA, MiCA, BSA/AML, PSD2, or equivalent

  • Experience at a company that grew through your tenure — you've seen what breaks between Series A and Series C

The base salary range for this role is $175,000 - $225,000 USD. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience, education, skills, qualifications and business needs.

In addition, the employee who fills this role will be eligible for an equity grant, allowing you to share in the long-term success of the company. You will also have access to a wide array of benefits, including health and wellness benefits, 401(k) savings plan, and flexible time off.

Join the team rewriting how money moves worldwide—and become a driving force in the $194 trillion cross-border payments market.
