Principal Research Consultant - Brand Health Tracking

As a Principal Survey Consultant on Numerator’s Research team, you’ll play a critical role as a subject matter expert in brand and strategic tracking engagements, guiding successful execution. As a coach/player role, this person will provide strategic oversight across projects, collaborating with clients, methodology and statistical experts, and the client account team. The Principal Survey Consultant will manage complex conversations regarding project design, analysis, interpretation, adoption, timelines, and challenges with the client. 

What You'll Do

  • Lead and provide senior-level guidance and executive-level consulting to the client and project team to drive the successful implementation of Numerator’s tracking-focused research projects and ensure excellence throughout the project experience
  • Accountable for ensuring high-quality outcomes across tracking engagements output quality and delivery of strategic activation workshops
  • Provide strategic direction across key phases of tracking engagements, including client communication, questionnaire design, deliverable storytelling, and activation; partnering with project teams who lead day-to-day execution
  • Lead or support key client moments (e.g., kickoffs, presentations, activation workshops, roadmap planning) based on engagement needs
  • Understand client’s strategic business and research needs; ensure project success by working toward an optimal outcome for both the client and Numerator
  • Demonstrate and provide consultation on research design and delivery best practices for strategic tracking engagements both within the team and with clients directly
  • Collaborate with clients and our methodology experts/statisticians and direct the dedicated account team to enable project success, with a goal of continued Numerator-Client partnership
  • Maintain knowledge of Numerator’s Insights panel data and platform functionality, in order to partner for successful integration with panel data or transition of a project to the panel consulting team
  • Drive the health of Numerator’s tracking business, including building best practices for Numerator’s tracking products
  • Influence the strategic direction and evolution of Numerator’s brand tracking solutions, including methodology, and innovation roadmap
  • Act as a thought leader in brand and strategic tracking, contributing to internal knowledge development and external market differentiation 
  • 12+ years of quantitative research experience
  • Hands-on experience designing and leading strategic tracking engagements (e.g., brand health tracking)
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Experience with CPG or Retail clients and leading strategic research from the vendor side
  • Commercial acumen and an ability to work with clients of all levels of seniority
  • Capable of overseeing multiple projects at any given time
  • Entrepreneurial focus to thrive within our growth-oriented environment, with a client orientation that contributes to our ability to act as a trusted advisor
  • Ability to think strategically about client business issues, and design research and build story-focused reports to address those business issues
  • Analytical and strategic mindset with a penchant for strong data visualization and delivering strong recommendations and actionable insights to empower our clients
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment
  • Knowledge of panel data, and the ability to combine multiple data sources into seamless results
  • Travel, as required, to support the above responsibilities
