Job Title:

Procurement Analytics Associate

Company:

Prologis

A day in the life
As a Procurement Analytics Associate at Prologis, you support construction sourcing and cost intelligence initiatives for industrial and logistics development projects across U.S. markets. In this analytics-focused role, you partner closely with Construction Sourcing, Development, and Procurement leaders to transform construction cost data into actionable insights that inform strategy, contractor engagement, and investment decisions.

Your day centers on building clarity from complexity. You aggregate and structure bid data, market inputs, and supplier information to develop meaningful cost benchmarks, trend analysis, and reporting that guide sourcing and development decisions at the national, regional, and market levels.

A core focus of the role is developing and maintaining Procurement-owned construction cost intelligence – analyzing major building components, total installed costs, and material/labor breakdowns to improve visibility and forecasting accuracy. You help translate raw data into dashboards, visualizations, and executive-ready insights that support both internal Construction Sourcing teams and Development stakeholders.

You also partner with Construction Sourcing leadership to build and maintain a national General Con-tractor database, supporting preferred contractor strategies, performance tracking, and feedback loops across regions. While you will assist with RFP and bidding processes as needed, the role is primarily centered on analytics, reporting, and continuous improvement rather than direct bid management.

Reporting to the Director of Procurement Operations & Analytics, you are a key contributor within the Global Procurement Organization. You are recognized for your analytical rigor, attention to detail, and ability to connect data to broader business objectives. You think beyond the numbers – identifying opportunities to strengthen cost transparency, improve processes, and drive strategic alignment across the organization.

Key responsibilities include:
•    Build and maintain Procurement-owned construction cost intelligence datasets, including benchmarking of major building components and analysis of total installed costs with material and labor breakdowns.
•    Develop reports and dashboards that communicate construction cost trends at national, regional, and market levels to support actionable decision-making.
•    Partner with Construction Sourcing leadership to build and maintain a national General Contractor database, supporting preferred contractor strategies and performance tracking.
•    Contribute structured data inputs to contractor and supplier performance feedback loops.
•    Maintain Procurement program exception and leakage reporting for direct material categories.
•    Support sourcing initiatives through cost modeling, data structuring, and RFP/bid analysis as needed.
•    Maintain clean, well-governed sourcing and contractor data repositories to enable long-term benchmarking and enterprise reporting.
•    Identify opportunities to enhance sourcing analytics processes, reporting consistency, and data governance practices.
•    Contribute to strategic projects and ad hoc initiatives, bringing analytical rigor and a continuous improvement mindset to each engagement.

Building blocks for success

Required:
•    3+ years of relevant professional experience in analytics.
•    Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
•    Demonstrated ability to synthesize disparate information, perform structured analysis, draw sound conclusions, and present a clear, coherent point of view.
•    Proven ability to deliver thoughtful, high-quality results with limited information or direction.
•    Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
•    Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
•    Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines with minimal oversight.
•    Comfort operating in environments with competing priorities, ambiguity, and evolving organizational structures.
•    Commitment to team success and flexibility to adapt to the needs of a dynamic and growing business.
•    Demonstrated critical thinking and sound judgment when forming recommendations.

Preferred:
•    Bachelor's Degree
•    Experience in procurement, construction, capital projects, or real estate development environments.
•    Familiarity with BuildingConnected or similar construction bidding platforms.
•    Experience developing cost benchmarking models or enterprise-level reporting dashboards.

Hiring Salary Range of: $79,000 - $125,000. Salary and whole compensation package (bonus target) to be determined by the candidate’s location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
