Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Category Manager to lead strategic sourcing and category management initiatives across a diverse portfolio of spend categories. This role is responsible for developing sourcing strategies, driving cost optimization, managing supplier relationships, and partnering with internal stakeholders to deliver procurement solutions aligned with business objectives. The ideal candidate brings strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, global environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute category strategies that support business goals, cost optimization, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives, including supplier evaluations, RFPs/RFQs, negotiations, and contract execution.
  • Manage supplier relationships, performance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives across assigned categories.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Operations, and business stakeholders to align procurement strategies with organizational needs.
  • Monitor market trends, supplier risks, and category performance to support informed procurement decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contractual standards, and risk management requirements.
  • Track and report key procurement metrics, including savings, supplier performance, and contract compliance.
  • Drive process improvements and leverage procurement tools and analytics to enhance operational effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management.
  • Proven ability to manage complex sourcing initiatives and supplier relationships.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with procurement and contract management systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting global or cross-functional organizations.
  • Exposure to multiple indirect and/or direct spend categories.
  • Professional procurement certifications such as CPSM or CIPS preferred.
  • Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
