Optiver is seeking a Procurement Operations Lead to drive the evolution of our global procurement operations. This role will be pivotal in transforming how we manage spend, processes, data, and systems across all regions. You will lead a team responsible for ensuring seamless day-to-day operations, while also shaping a more efficient, data-driven, and AI-enabled procurement function.

Procurement plays a critical role in enabling Optiver’s business strategy — ensuring our teams have what they need, when they need it, at the right price and with the right controls. The Global Procurement Operations Lead will bring both strategic vision and operational rigor to strengthen this mission.

What You’ll Do:

Global Leadership

  • Lead and develop a distributed procurement operations team across regions, ensuring alignment, accountability, and operational excellence.
  • Serve as the global process owner for Procurement-owned processes in our S2P suite, partnering closely with our finance counterparts.
  • Partner closely with sourcing leaders, finance, AP, and legal to ensure processes and systems enable both agility and control.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee the day-to-day execution of procurement operations globally, ensuring seamless purchasing, approvals, and payment processes.
  • Establish consistent global workflows and controls while allowing for regional flexibility.
  • Drive measurable improvements in process efficiency, automation, and policy compliance.

Transformation & Automation

  • Lead global initiatives to modernize procurement operations through automation and AI-driven tools.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve speed, transparency, and stakeholder experience.
  • Embed a culture of continuous improvement and data-led decision making within the operations function.

Data Integrity & Reporting

  • Ensure high-quality data across procurement systems, providing visibility into spend, supplier performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Design and deliver dashboards and reporting to enable smarter, faster business decisions.
  • Collaborate with data teams to ensure procurement information is accurate, integrated, and actionable.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner with Finance, AP, Legal, and Technology teams to improve process alignment and eliminate friction.
  • Act as the primary operational liaison between Procurement and the broader business.
  • Represent procurement operations in key governance and transformation forums.

What you’ll get:

You’ll join a culture of collaboration and excellence, surrounded by curious thinkers and creative problem-solvers. Motivated by a passion for continuous improvement, you’ll thrive in a supportive, high-performing environment alongside talented colleagues, collectively tackling some of the toughest challenges in the financial markets.

In addition, you’ll receive:

  • The opportunity to work alongside best-in-class professionals from over 40 different countries
  • Highly competitive compensation package including performance-based bonus structure
  • 401(k) match up to 50%
  • Comprehensive health, mental, dental, vision, disability, and life coverage
  • 25 paid vacation days alongside market holidays
  • Extensive office perks, including breakfast, lunch and snacks, regular social events, clubs, sporting leagues and more

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, finance, supply chain, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or finance operations, with at least 3 years in leadership roles.
  • Proven experience managing high-performing teams across multiple regions or time zones.
  • Strong background in process transformation, automation, and digital enablement (AI or workflow automation experience a plus).
  • Demonstrated ability to scale operational functions and implement standardized global processes.
  • Deep understanding of procure-to-pay processes, supplier management, and financial controls.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and change leadership skills.
  • Tools experience preferred: Coupa, Databricks, or similar S2P and data analytics platforms.
  • Analytical, systems-oriented mindset with an ability to translate data into operational insight.
