ROLE OVERVIEW:

In this role as a Producer, you’ll use your experience as a production expert to bridge ideas and reality to create breakthrough creative work. You’ll collaborate with creative teams and project managers to source solutions and plan the creation of content. You’ll use your network of partners and suppliers to create work that’s better than what’s already been done, or to help identify how to do what has never been done before. You and your team will find ways to make great content and experiences at the speed of culture.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • PRODUCTION SCOPING: You quickly and reliably scope ideas during the creative process to help manage and shape the idea during development.   
  • PRODUCTION PLANNING: You understand how to leverage suppliers and other creators to find ways to plan and execute a range of ideas. You will find and source partners and experts who can help you make just about anything come to life.   
  • SHOOT MANAGEMENT: You will leverage your experience to plan and execute a range of shoots & projects from large scale content shoots (TV, Digital) to small scale photography and sound recording sessions. You understand how to run a production schedule and manage many creators on site.
  • EVENT MANAGEMENT: You are responsible for organizing and managing small-scale, social led events, from planning to execution. This includes venue selection, vendor management, logistics planning, and on-site coordination.
  • CLIENT MANAGEMENT: You will create confidence-inspiring pre-production presentations that anticipate brand partner feedback and proactively address concerns.  
  • BUDGET MANAGEMENT: You will manage the costs and processes involved with a large budget production, preventing scope creep and cost-overruns.  

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS 

  • 5+ years of experience in a production department at a traditional, social, or experiential agency that produces social content.    
  • A proven track record of successful shoots and complex executions.  
  • A university or college diploma, or other education related to content production.  
  • A history of being able to work with creative teams, helping to faithfully bring their ideas to life.  
  • Experience producing a variety of project types including social content & assets, campaign production, video, motion graphics and digital banners.
  • Experience with experiential production and event management is a plus.
  • A history of executing integrated productions including overseeing large multi-discipline teams, vendor procurement and management, and ensuring overall quality of work with multiple deliverables and multiple workstreams.   
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of USA and Canada Entertainment Laws.
  • Experience in partnering and developing relationships with non-traditional production vendors.
  • A demonstrated proficiency in project management and leading client conversations.  
  • You have an established roster of suppliers, technology partners, directors, and other skilled creators that can help you create great work.  
  • Experience managing expense, paying invoices, and financial processes.  
  • Excellent presentations skills and communication skills in a group environment. 
  • A passion for food and food marketing.    
  • A desire to do award-winning, internationally recognized work.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $70,000–$85,000. Individual compensation within this range is determined based on job-related factors such as experience, skills, level of responsibility, internal equity, and business needs. This range represents the expected base salary for this role and does not include other elements of The Kitchen’s total rewards program.
