We are seeking a Product Analyst III to serve as the state owner for 2–3 states, partnering closely with leadership to drive profitability and growth through pricing and non-pricing actions. You’ll analyze market and performance trends, execute strategic rate changes, manage regulatory filings, and collaborate cross-functionally (Sales, Actuarial, Marketing, IT, Testing) to ensure competitive product positioning and strong business results.
What does a PRODUCT ANALYST III do at GAINSCO?- Serve as the state owner for 2–3 markets, managing profitability and growth targets.
- Recommend pricing and underwriting actions based on deep analysis of trends and performance metrics.
- Coordinate with Sales, Actuarial, Marketing, IT, and Testing teams to execute strategic rate changes.
- Present quarterly state performance and strategy updates to executive leadership.
- Identify and pursue premium and policy growth opportunities.
- Partner with Sales to target high-potential segments and optimize product positioning.
- Conduct competitive analysis and market research to inform product enhancements and strategic decisions.
- Prepare and submit accurate regulatory filings; respond to objections and ensure timely approvals.
- Support initiatives to automate processes, improve product performance, and solve business challenges.
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using tools like Power BI.
- Collaborate with different departments to implement innovative solutions.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Actuarial Science, Math, Statistics, Insurance, or related field required.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in Product or Actuarial roles within the Property & Casualty insurance industry required.
- Direct experience with rate filings and insurance product strategy required.
- Strong understanding of insurance/pricing concepts, underwriting rules, business processes, and key financial metrics.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in SQL, SAS, or Python is required.
- Experience with Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
