As a Sr Product Development Engineer, you’ll drive innovation by designing, prototyping, and testing cutting-edge products. From concept ideation to manufacturing implementation, you'll play a key role in delivering high-performance solutions to our global customers. What You Will Do 

  • Engineering Tasks: Perform engineering tasks utilizing experience, technical expertise, and sound judgment. 
  • Product Development: Design and develop new fiber optic connectivity and structured cabling product offerings. 
  • Research: Conduct research and analysis to develop new products and improve existing designs. 
  • Project Management: Develop project plans and manage projects to schedule and cost. 
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality assurance, and product management to implement products and ensure product specifications are met. 
  • Technical Documentation: Create and analyze technical documentation including engineering plans/sketches/drawings, test plans/records, instructions, manuals, reports, etc. 
  • Prototyping & Testing: Develop prototypes and perform simulations and testing to validate design performance. 
  • Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues. 
  • Industry Research: Conduct research on industry trends, patents, materials, and technologies to support project efforts. 

 

What You Will Bring 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
  • Experience: 5-8 years in engineering with product development and NPI experience. Experience designing injection molded and/or sheet metal parts.
  • Knowledge: Solid understanding of material properties, manufacturing processes, and their integration into product design. Understanding of fiber optic principles and technologies desirable
  • Software: Strong proficiency in 3D parametric CAD software (e.g., NX, SolidWorks). 
  • Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, project management ability, and attention to detail. Ability to generate and compare concepts and apply appropriate analysis to validate them.

Compensation: The expected annual base salary range for this role is $95,000 - $120,000. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
