Product Manager, Reporting

We’re looking for a Product Manager to help shape the future of reporting within SpotOn’s restaurant platform.

Restaurants generate enormous amounts of operational and financial data—from sales and payments to labor and menu performance. SpotOn’s reporting product gives operators reliable access to that data so they can understand what’s happening in their business and run it effectively.

As a Product Manager on the Reporting team, you will help evolve SpotOn’s customer-facing reporting experience and the data platform that powers it. You’ll work closely with Engineering, Design, Data, and go-to-market teams to ensure restaurant operators can access accurate information through clear, well-structured reports.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems and working at the intersection of data infrastructure and customer-facing product experiences. You will spend time thinking about how to structure data so it’s accurate and reliable, how to present complex information in simple ways, and how to bring the right level of context to the numbers our customers rely on every day. You care deeply about helping customers understand their data—not just providing numbers, but presenting them in ways that make them understandable and actionable.

You will:
  • Help define the roadmap and long-term vision for SpotOn’s reporting platform.

  • Partner with engineering teams to evolve the data models, pipelines, and systems that power customer-facing reports.

  • Lead efforts to modernize and migrate existing reporting capabilities.

  • Work closely with design to translate complex operational and financial data into clear, intuitive reporting interfaces.

  • Ensure reports are accurate, reliable, and trustworthy for operators making day-to-day business decisions.

  • Investigate merchant-reported issues and identify opportunities to improve reporting quality and usability.

  • Take end-to-end ownership of reporting experiences—from defining the problem to delivering solutions that meaningfully improve how customers understand their business.

  • Use AI-powered tools and emerging technologies to move faster, improve product development workflows, and deliver value to customers more efficiently.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Engineering, Design, Data, and go-to-market teams—to bring new reporting capabilities to life.

What we’re looking for:
  • 4+ years of product management experience or equivalent experience working on data-heavy products.

  • Strong curiosity about numbers and how operational systems produce and organize data.

  • A passion for turning complex information into simple, intuitive experiences for customers.

  • Experience working on reporting platforms, data tools, or other products that present structured data to users.

  • Comfort collaborating with engineers on topics like data models, event-based systems, APIs, and system architecture.

  • A track record of owning complex problems and driving them through to resolution.

  • Experience building products for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), or a strong appreciation for the challenges operators face when running their business day to day.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to align stakeholders across engineering, design, and go-to-market teams.

You may be a great fit if:

  • You’re the kind of person who notices when numbers don’t add up and enjoys figuring out why.

  • You enjoy thinking about how complex operational data can be structured and displayed in ways that make it immediately useful.

Compensation:

  • Our base pay range is $150,000-$185,000 for this role

  • Please note the salary range listed is just one component of a competitive compensation package, which includes a company stock plan

  • Offers will be reflective of the candidate’s location and experience.

Benefits:

  • Paid vacation, 10 company holidays, sick time, and volunteer time off
