About the role
We are hiring a Product Manager to own the strategy, roadmap and commercial success of a line of hygienic sensors and instrumentation for the food, beverage and life sciences industries. You will turn customer and market insight into clear product requirements, work hand in hand with engineering to bring products to market, and equip sales to win. This role suits someone who is equally comfortable on a plant floor talking with a process engineer and in a business review defending a product's P&L.
About us
Anderson-Negele, a Ralliant company, designs and manufactures hygienic sensors for measuring temperature, level, pressure, flow and conductivity in sanitary processes. Our customers rely on our instruments to keep production safe, efficient and compliant. As part of Ralliant, we combine the focus of a specialist business with the resources of a global precision technology company.
What you'll do
- Own the product roadmap for your portfolio, balancing customer needs, technical feasibility and business return
- Build business cases for new products and enhancements, including market size, pricing, margin and launch forecasts
- Gather voice-of-customer input through site visits, interviews and work with sales and application engineers
- Write clear market and product requirements, and prioritize them with engineering through each development phase
- Lead product launches end to end: positioning, pricing, sales training, documentation and marketing materials
- Track portfolio performance (revenue, margin, quality, share) and act on what the numbers show
- Manage the product lifecycle, including end-of-life decisions and transition plans
- Monitor competitors, industry standards (such as EHEDG and 3-A) and regulatory trends that affect your products
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, a technical field or business
- 5+ years in product management, product marketing or application engineering for industrial or technical products
- A track record of taking products from concept to launch
- Strong financial sense: business cases, pricing and P&L ownership
- Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to align engineering, sales and leadership
- Willingness to travel up to 25% to customers, trade shows and our sites
Nice to have
- Experience with process instrumentation, sensors or automation in food, beverage, dairy or pharmaceutical markets
- Knowledge of hygienic design standards (EHEDG, 3-A, FDA) and digital connectivity technologies such as IO-Link
- Familiarity with stage-gate development
- MBA or equivalent business training
