Department Overview
The First Responder Applications Product Management team owns the roadmap for delivering Motorola Solutions’ in-vehicle, handheld and voice applications specifically designed for use by first responders. These products are used worldwide to keep communities and individuals safe in public safety and enterprise organizations.
Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and focused Product Owner to drive the delivery and migration of our planned roadmap First Responder Mobile and Handheld software products. This role will initially focus on collaborating with Engineering and Product Management to execute the software roadmap. A key responsibility will be collaborating with Customer Success teams by identifying and coordinating the migration of existing customers onto new platform products within the Motorola Solutions portfolio.

Qualifications:

  • BS in Product Management, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related technical discipline.

  • 2+ years of experience as a Product Owner / Product Manager with a working knowledge of agile software development and management best practices.

  • Understanding of various build environments and automated testing, and experience with Product management tools - Jira and Confluence is preferred.

  • Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a desire to collaborate with internal and external business/technical teams.

  • Highly organized, structured, and process-oriented; team building skills a plus.

  • Experience with Google Work Suite, Jira, and Confluence is a plus.

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.

The candidate may be required to travel 20% of their time.

This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.  

Target Base Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 USD
Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

Basic Requirements

BS in Product Management, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related technical discipline with 2+ years of experience as a Product Owner / Product Manager, or a Master's degree in a related field.

Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.

Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customer.
