About the Role 

PlayStation Studios is seeking a Production Manager (Contract) to join our Head of Production organization on a temporary basis. This role is focused on improving production operations across world-class game studios and coordinating internal projects within the Studio Business Group. 

In this role, you will partner closely with leaders to improve operational consistency, and help translate strategic priorities into effective execution. You’ll play a key part in enabling scalable, high-performing production practices across a spectrum of game development environments. You’ll also rely on an internal network across PlayStation to accomplish your goals. 

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments and enjoys working at the intersection of production, strategy, and operations. 


What You’ll Do 

Coordinate Business & Studio Priorities 

  • Plan, track, and coordinate central initiatives, supporting leadership in maintaining structured oversight across the portfolio, ensuring alignment with studio and company priorities 
  • Assist PSS leaders and development teams in communicating production challenges, risks, and opportunities 
  • Provide targeted support on high-priority initiatives and areas of need 
  • Coordinate across studios to enact process improvements 

Improve Production Operations 

  • Maintain alignment and accountability across senior leadership initiatives, track commitments, and surface risks or misalignment 
  • Establish and maintain clear, consistent reporting frameworks that support leadership visibility 
  • Ensure project information is accurate, actionable, and accessible for decision-making 
  • Support and manage key operating rhythms, including studio reviews and leadership forums 
  • Deliver structured, high-quality communication to support executive decision-making 

Scale Best Practices 

  • Document and standardize effective production processes and workflows 
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operational friction 
  • Partner with central teams to align tools, processes, and ways of working 

What We’re Looking For 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Project Management experience in game development or game publishing 
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly convey complex ideas 
  • Experience working in cross-functional, collaborative environments 
  • Proven ability to manage ambiguity and drive progress in evolving situations 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Background working across production, product, program management, or operations 
  • Experience supporting leadership decision-making or executive operating rhythms 
  • Familiarity with scaling processes and best practices across teams 

Key Skills 

  • Strong organizational and prioritization abilities 
  • Skilled in project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall) and related tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Asana). 
  • Nurturing collaborative relationships to achieve results without authority 
  • Ability to quickly understand new projects and contribute effectively 

At SIE, working with our partners, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location. 
Please note that the individual base pay range may vary based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below, this is an hourly rate.
$70$106 USD
