About The Opportunity

Supervises the activities of production personnel engaged in all facets of the manufacturing function. This position will also be the back-up to the Production Planner and Project Manager. This position works core hours of Monday through Thursday from 5:30 am to 4:00 pm. Some additional hours may be required to meet the needs of the business.
Essential Job Functions
The following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties; however, it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Implements operational strategies in assigned area(s) to assure company objectives in the areas of safety, productivity, quality, customer service, sales, human capital, cost and profitability
  • Accountable for assigned area’s key performance metrics including machine and labor efficiencies and provides guidance to production associates to ensure scorecard objectives are met
  • Supports capacity planning process to meet internal and external customer on-time-delivery demands
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to support continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence
  • Provides guidance on staffing, training, employee relations and performance management to develop and enhance the hourly production team, working closely with direct reports
  • Interacts with key stakeholders to provide technical support and/or resolve order problems or complaints
  • Maintains industry, professional and technical knowledge by networking, attending industry events, and reviewing professional publications
  • The Production Supervisor will provide coverage in the absence of the Production Manager to ensure adequate resources are available to achieve food safety and food quality objectives and support the development, implementation, maintenance and on-going improvement of AIB.
  • Create reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and communicate findings to management.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks, recommend solutions, and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Assist in strategic planning for the business, which may include the development of business plans and forecasts to support strategic decision making.
Education & Experience
  • High School diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant leadership experience required
  • Previous experience leading and managing a temporary workforce required
  • Proven ability to lead cross‑functional projects in a high‑volume production environment.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience in CPG, food & beverage, health & beauty, or other packaging‑intensive industries.
  
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to design, implement and execute business processes and associated applications.
  • Knowledge of and ability to implement effective strategies and activities that promote long‐term customer loyalty.
  • Strong problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis skills.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across departments.
  • High adaptability in environments with frequent changeovers and shifting priorities.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems, specifically SAP, required
  • Excel and reporting/dashboard experience required
  • Ability to analyze data and translate insights into action.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
 
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Primarily works in a production and/or warehouse setting with time also spent in an office setting
  • Frequent walking and standing required
  • Occasional travel may be required
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
Salary range for this position is $66,000-$85,000 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive plan and for a full benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance; basic term life, AD&D, Short- and Long-term disability; EAP; 401(k) retirement savings plan; PTO and paid holidays.
