Airtable is the no-code app platform that empowers people closest to the work to accelerate their most critical business processes. More than 500,000 organizations, including 80% of the Fortune 100, rely on Airtable to transform how work gets done.

We're looking for a Community Program Manager to help scale and evolve Airtable's customer community programs. This role sits within the Digital Programs team, which brings together Community, Education, and AI Programs to help customers learn, adopt, and succeed with Airtable.

You'll help grow Airtable Community into a strategic driver of customer engagement and meaningful AI adoption by building programs, systems, and experiences that connect customers with one another and accelerate learning. Key areas of focus include scaling our user group program (Airtable Builder Crews), expanding community engagement initiatives, and strengthening the operational foundation that supports a growing portfolio of community programs.

Airtable Community is more than a place for customers to connect—it's a strategic lever for driving product adoption. Our north star is increasing AI feature adoption and AI weekly active users (AI WAUs), and this role will help design and scale the programs that move customers from AI curiosity to AI proficiency.

We're looking for someone who is equal parts program manager, community builder, and operator—someone who thrives in ambiguity, embraces experimentation, and can turn ideas into scalable programs with measurable impact.

This is a full-time contractor role.

What you'll do

Scale Airtable Builder Crews (User Groups)

Help expand Airtable's Builder Crews program as we grow from primarily virtual engagement to community-led, in-person experiences.

Responsibilities include:

  • Recruiting, onboarding, and supporting Builder Crew leaders.
  • Developing playbooks, templates, and operational processes for local events.
  • Partnering with internal teams on event promotion, measurement, and follow-up.
  • Creating scalable systems that enable community leaders to independently run successful programs.
  • Identifying opportunities to launch new regional, industry, or persona-based Builder Crews.

Drive Community Engagement

Help create meaningful opportunities for customers to learn from one another and deepen their relationship with Airtable.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting engagement initiatives across Airtable Community and social channels.
  • Expanding Airtable's presence and participation on Reddit and other community platforms.
  • Identifying and amplifying customer success stories, best practices, and AI use cases.
  • Developing campaigns and programs that encourage participation, knowledge sharing, and advocacy.
  • Monitoring community health metrics and recommending improvements.

Improve Community Operations

Build the operational foundation needed to support a growing portfolio of programs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing program operations, documentation, reporting, and workflows.
  • Maintaining community systems, tools, dashboards, and processes.
  • Supporting program launches, communications, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Identifying opportunities to automate manual work and improve operational efficiency.
  • Creating scalable frameworks that enable the Community team to grow without adding complexity.
Who you are
  • 3–7+ years of experience in community management, customer programs, customer education, operations, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience building and scaling community programs, such as user groups, ambassador programs, advocacy initiatives, or community-led events.
  • An AI-native operator mindset and proven track record of using AI to plan, create, analyze, automate, and execute work. You should be able to articulate how AI has improved your productivity, quality, throughput, or business outcomes.
  • Strong program management and operational skills, including the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, build scalable processes, and drive projects from concept through execution.
  • Strong written communication and community engagement skills, with the ability to create experiences that foster participation, learning, and customer advocacy.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Customer Success, Education, and other stakeholders.
  • Analytical and data-driven, with experience measuring program performance and using insights to guide decisions and investments.

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting Reddit communities, social engagement programs, or community growth initiatives on third-party platforms.
  • Familiarity with SaaS customer success, customer education, product adoption, or customer lifecycle programs.
  • Experience using Airtable; experience designing and building apps in Airtable is a strong plus.
  • Passion for AI, automation, and helping customers adopt new ways of working.
  • Comfortability with a flexible schedule (we have international events that will sometimes need support).
What we offer
  • Duration: 12-month contract
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Work Schedule: 40 hr / week
  • Location: Remote
