Owns new business development and project delivery for project management services. Responsibilities include prospecting community association boards, delivering presentations, managing the sales pipeline, closing engagements, planning construction and repair projects, coordinating budgets and contractors, ensuring scope compliance, and advising clients. The role also provides occasional after-hours support and assists with maintenance team oversight.
The Role
This role owns new business development for the company's project management services. You'll build relationships with community association boards, deliver sales presentations, and close new project engagements. Once a project is won, you'll oversee it from scope definition through completion, working closely with contractors and the association's management team. This is a hybrid sales-and-delivery role: your ability to sell and communicate is the primary driver of success, with construction fluency as the tool that earns trust and lets you speak credibly to scope, timeline, and cost.
Compensation: $80,000–$90,000 base + commission; OTE $100,000–$120,000
What You'll Do
- Prospect and pitch project management services directly to community association Boards of Directors, including attending board meetings and delivering sales presentations
- Build and manage a pipeline of prospective association clients, tracking outreach and conversion
- Advise on and help develop marketing materials that support the sales function
- Once contracted, plan and schedule construction/repair projects, coordinating budgets, payments, and recordkeeping
- Direct contractors and subcontractors on active projects, ensuring scope and contract compliance
- Serve as a trusted advisor to boards and on-site managers, using industry knowledge to guide decisions and manage expectations
- Provide occasional after-hours support for urgent/emergency matters
- Support oversight of an on-call maintenance team as needed
Requirements
What We're Looking For (Required)
- 3+ years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or a client-facing account management role
- Demonstrated success building relationships and closing deals with decision-makers (boards, executives, property owners, or similar)
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Comfort working independently and managing a sales pipeline with minimal oversight
- Working knowledge of construction, repair, or building systems (e.g., roofing, plumbing, mechanical systems) sufficient to speak credibly with contractors and clients
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
Nice to Have
- Prior experience selling into or working with community/condominium associations, property management, or real estate services
- Background in construction project management
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Familiarity with CRM or project management software
