We are expanding and looking for an experienced Project Manager with 10+ years in customer-facing, technology-centric project management to help drive our growth journey.

Lyngsoe Systems optimizes supply chain flow, creates real-time visibility in postal sorting centers, reduces emissions through smarter transport, logistics planning, and enhances patient care in hospitals using advanced tracking technologies such as RFID and BLE.

Location: Office-based in downtown Chicago (with limited remote flexibility)

Your role

As a Project Manager, you will:

  • Lead and Inspire – Manage projects from inception to completion with the support of Solution Architects, Software Developers, and Product Owners, maintaining strong, purposeful customer engagement.
  • Drive Innovation – Leverage IoT and advanced tracking technologies to deliver state-of-the-art solutions.
  • Own the Outcome – Demonstrate exceptional ownership, autonomy, and a relentless focus on customer results.
  • Ensure Excellence – Plan and execute projects to deliver measurable value for customers and Lyngsoe Systems.
  • Master Customer Interactions – Spend 20–30% of your time directly interfacing with customers to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Foster Collaboration – Serve as the primary bridge between our North American customers and our expert teams in Denmark.

Your responsibilities

  • Manage multiple projects, overseeing resources, timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery that meets functional, legal, and quality standards.
  • Build customer trust, identify upsell opportunities, and manage change requests.
  • Motivate and coordinate project teams, ensuring effective collaboration.
  • Manage relationships with international sub-suppliers and project partners.

 

Must-haves

  • 10+ years in project management with PMP or equivalent certification.
  • Background in delivering complex, customer-specific technology solutions (software customization, RFID, IoT, or hardware).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple, high-profile IT projects using structured project control methodologies.
  • Experience delivering end-to-end IT and change management projects.
  • Excellent stakeholder and third-party management skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management abilities with a focus on meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to follow up proactively and adapt to evolving project needs.
  • Skilled in conflict resolution.
  • Candidates must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States (e.g., U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or indefinite right to remain and work without employer sponsorship).

Desired skills & experience

  • International project management experience with budget responsibility.
  • Resource, planning, and risk management expertise; familiarity with Atlassian Jira and Confluence a plus.
  • Ability to build long-term relationships, motivate teams, and take on team-leadership responsibilities.
  • Understanding of software development processes and customer-side technology environments.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
