Project Manager Position Summary:  

The Project Manager will work with the national sales team to provide regional industry expertise and create competitive proposals driving new sales growth.  Additionally, this role will work with the operations team to ensure all pertinent information is passed along to achieve operational and financial objectives. 

Project Manager Responsibilities:

    • Complete accurate takeoffs and generate competitive estimates/proposals from plans, other bid documents, site visits, and/or satellite imagery primarily related to landscape maintenance (inclusive of irrigation) and enhancement/ancillary opportunities
    • Coordinate with service partners when needed to ensure best pricing is being secured to meet financial objectives
    • Attend pre-bid meetings with sales team when and where appropriate
    • Assist operations team with sourcing new service partners/vendors where needed
    • Collect current vendor/supplier costs and continually update to provide for more accurate cost estimation
    • Ability to manage numerous projects at one time working with internal stakeholders to agree on priorities
    • Assist with snow removal and ice management takeoffs and estimates/proposals during non-peak landscape periods of the year (depending on region)
    • Participate in the creation of an “in-house” estimating system
    • Ensure a proper handoff from sales to operations on all awards providing clarity to how and what was proposed
    • Travel 10-20% as needed.
    • Other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission and abide by our organizational values

Project Manager Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Proficiency utilizing industry related estimating software
  • Interpersonal Skills: Works effectively with internal and external contacts, administrative staff, and employees at all organizational levels including senior leadership. 
  • Thorough understanding of landscape & irrigation maintenance practices, requirements, equipment, and processes
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specification documents, and other associated documents related to creating competitive proposals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree highly preferred. 
  • 5+ years of landscape maintenance experience required
  • 3+ years of experience estimating/bidding large complex commercial landscape projects required
  • 3+ years of experience in the snow removal & ice management industry preferred depending on region
