Job Description:
The Business Analyst/Project Manager will assume responsibility for the coordination of milestone tasks of a project and to work with various stakeholders worldwide to gather information relevant for the Volcker metrics reporting requirements, RENTD and other analytics in support of Market Making Activities. The candidate should have experience as a data analyst and/or a business analyst in a investment bank trading environment. A successful candidate should have strong understanding of multiple asset classes traded in the investment banking indusry and must have contributed significantly to multiple successful enterprise projects and milestones.
Experience with Microsoft? Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access and SQL is preferred. At this level, the candidate should expect to participate in negotiations with high-level stakeholders and help the team with process improvements. As a business analyst, the candidate will be responsible for mapping user requirements to system requirements, system requirements to technical specifications, and specifications to functionality.

Key responsibilities Business Analysis and Project Management:
- Monitor progress of project status, milestones, achievements and budgetary standing for the project; ensure resolution and/or effective escalation of issues within Steering Committees.
- Ensure strong scope control on all projects.
- Document (meeting minutes) workshops for all working streams.
- Work collaboratively with Operations, the Front office and the other functions (Finance, Risk).
- Assist and support in the development and documentation of the current and future state Volcker metrics platform architecture and end state solution.
- Deliverables may include authoring business requirements and providing workflow diagrams.
- Perform and/or Coordinate User Acceptance Testing.
- Provide a comprehensive test plan to IT that has been validated and signed off by Compliance.
- Write ad-hoc database queries in support of data investigations
- Understand drivers in data, spot trends, and escalate outlier data as required
- Ask questions to business users about data anomalies
- Solve data inconsistencies
- Reconcille data across sources
