General Summary: The QA Engineer Intern assists with with our quality efforts by designing full test plans and creating, maintaining, and executing a library of test cases to exercise the web interface of our products. Additionally, you will assist the technical support team with support-related activities. You will work closely with the QA Director in testing SaaS solutions at scale.

Job Duties:

  • Translate business requirements and specifications into test plans and test cases
  • Write and execute test cases for web-based applications
  • Assist with development of formal scale and performance test plans and execute
  • Document testing results
  • Troubleshoot and document defects
  • Work closely with Software Engineering and Product Management teams to identify system requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Participate in daily stand-ups and other meetings as necessary
  • Report on testing progress and outcomes; provide regular progress, status and performance updates to the QA Director  
  • Assist with technical support functions
  • Review technical journals and relevant industry literature to stay current with changes in technology
Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Education & Experience:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field of study or pursuing an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Understanding of designing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology
  • Knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail

This is a remote, part-time hourly internship that reports to the QA Director. A minimum of twenty hours a week is required.
