Receptionist
We are looking for a Receptionist to be the first point of contact for guests at our HQ office in Chicago. You should be a highly motivated professional who is excited about the opportunity to be the face of Sprout! This is absolutely a customer service role and so a pleasant and inviting personality is a must. In addition, you should be able to deal with emergencies in a timely and effective manner, while helping to support the broader Office Operations team. You will lead the charge on answering phones, greeting guests and vendors, supporting with various events and distributing correspondence.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office
- Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
- Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
- Develop and maintain best practices to ensure efficiency with call routing
- Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable
- Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
- Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
- Play lead on all outgoing and incoming faxes
- Support with events on as needed basis
- Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk
- Be present and available for all Receptionist responsibilities during Office Operations and overall Sprout team events and meetings
Desired Skills and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree or 2-3 years experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
- Professional attitude
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Excellent organizational skills
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Customer service attitude
