The Regional Consultant - RIA Central serves as a strategic leader and driver of distribution within the Financial Institutions Group, owning the execution of Lazard’s investment solutions across the territory. The role focuses on delivering deep, consultative expertise to sophisticated financial advisor networks while driving material asset growth and establishing Lazard as a premier investment partner. Successful candidates possess sophisticated knowledge of global capital markets, a deep-seated entrepreneurial spirit, and a documented history of navigating complex sales cycles to consistently exceed net sales targets. Most critically, the Regional Consultant must embody executive presence and intellectual leadership, serving as a senior ambassador for the firm’s investment platforms while effectively leading and mentoring internal partners to optimize territory coverage and client impact. 


We’ll trust you to:

  • Serve as the primary territory lead covering RIAs in WI, MN, ND, SD, IA, IN, MI, and IL
  • Own the distribution strategy and execution to meet or exceed gross and net sales targets across the territory
  • Proactively build and maintain meaningful, long-term relationships with clients
  • Act as a subject matter expert on Lazard’s investment platforms, conducting high-impact in-person meetings, portfolio reviews, and technical presentations to influence advisor asset allocation
  • Identify high-potential prospects and "key decision-makers" to close complex sales and secure platform placements
  • Manage and mentor your Internal partner to ensure seamless territory coverage, effective lead generation, and optimized travel schedules
  • Serve as an ambassador for the Lazard brand, embodying the firm’s intellectual capital and entrepreneurial culture.

You’ll need to have:

  • 7–10+ years of successful sales and distribution experience within the financial services industry, specifically within the RIA channel
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 or 65 required 
  • Deep fluency in capital markets, macro-economic trends, and the technical mechanics of separate accounts, ETFs, and alternative investment structures
  • Exceptional executive presence with the ability to articulate complex investment strategies to sophisticated advisors and institutional-caliber clients
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage a vast geographic territory, utilizing CRM tools (Salesforce) to drive data-driven sales decisions
  • Advanced professional certifications such as the CFA, CIMA, AAMS, or CFP are highly desirable and viewed as a differentiator

What we offer:

We expect the base salary range for this role to be approximately $150,000 USD. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant’s years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, relevant skills for the role. Base salary is one component of Lazard Asset Management’s compensation package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
