Purpose
We are looking for a dynamic sales leader that can motivate and lead teams to produce exceptional results. In this position you will manage the surgical sales teams for their assigned territory and nurture our culture of trust, honor, and integrity. You will also partner with the AVP and Regional Directors who are responsible for all three products (CP, RP Flex, and 5.5), and the oversight and direction of the clinical consultant team members. You must showcase proven success developing & executing sales strategies that result in the achievement of sales goals.
Responsibilities
Direct the region’s sales activities that result in meeting annual growth and revenue objectives
Lead/manage the Associate Surgical Account Managers and Surgical Account Managers.
Partner with the AVP, RD, and Region Clinical Manager, collaborating with them on the direction of the Impella 5.5 business and the development of the Advanced Surgical Clinical team members and Clinical Consultants that have a surgery focus.
Directs the sales performance in specified region
Identify, hire, retain and develop talent through proactively managing performance
Develop strategies for launching new accounts and greater penetration in existing accounts
Establish effective communications with executives and managers across the company to ensure proper sensitivity to the needs of sales
Lead difficult sales negotiations, especially with larger prospects
Collaborate with cross functional departments within the organizations in order to support region growth
Qualifications
Education:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required
A Master’s or Advanced Degree is preferred
Skills & Experience:
A minimum of 8 years of work experience with at least 5+ years of high-performance experience in the medical device cardiovascular space is required
A minimum of 5+ years of management experience of a field commercial team or 2+ years of Abiomed Associate Regional Director experience is required
Ability to gain cooperation of others and lead team members; exhibits ability to lead a diverse team with strong emotional intelligence is required
Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders internal and external is required
Demonstrated critical thinking in fast paced environment is required
Ability to exercise judgment in selecting, methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results required
Ability to communicate ideas and information clearly, effectively, and frequently (oral and written) is required
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred
Working knowledge of business analytics tools is preferred
Ability to travel 60% within assigned area is required
The Company maintains a highly competitive sales incentive compensation program. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for participation in this program in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.
This position is eligible for a car allowance through the Company’s Fleet program.

- Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

The base pay for this position $150,000.
