About Hopscotch Primary Care

At Hopscotch Primary Care, we believe great healthcare should be accessible to all people across all communities.  Today, almost 20% of Americans live in a rural community, yet only 11% of physicians practice in those same communities.  We are on a mission to transform healthcare in rural America.  We provide high-quality primary care tailored to meet the needs of our patients through our robust care model and comprehensive care team, delivering care in our clinics, and across settings, and wrapping resources around the patients who need them most.

Our patients and the care teams who serve them sit at the center of everything we do at Hopscotch.  Hopscotch Primary Care takes a team approach to serve patient needs and provide the best care possible.  Our goal is to provide the care each of us would want for ourselves or for our family members, in the right setting, and at the right time.

Today, we are serving thousands of patients in our value-based care model and the number is growing every day.  If you want to bring your experience, skill and passion to make a lasting impact in healthcare, we’d like to meet you.

About the Role

The Director, Regional Operations is a senior leadership role with full ownership for the performance, growth, and culture of a region of Hopscotch Primary Care clinics across Western North Carolina. This leader will directly shape how high‑quality, value‑based primary care is delivered in rural communities, driving measurable improvements in clinical outcomes, patient experience, team engagement, and cost of care.

The scope for this role includes:

  • Direct leadership of 6–9 direct reports, including Care Center Managers
  • Full accountability for clinical outcomes, financial performance, growth, and culture
  • Direct partnership with the Chief Operating Officer and enterprise leaders across Population Health, Finance, Growth, and People Operations

The Director, Regional Operations will be required to live in Western North Carolina (e.g., the Greater Asheville, NC or Charlotte, NC areas) and must be willing to travel in and around Western North Carolina frequently.

What You'll Do

Develop and Coach Leaders

  • Lead, coach, and develop Care Center Managers as strong operational and people leaders.
  • Ensure clear expectations, accountability, and support for clinic‑level teams.

Drive Execution & Improvement

  • Regularly review clinic and regional performance, identify trends and gaps, and lead targeted improvement plans.
  • Lead onboarding, integration, and change management for newly acquired or de novo clinics.

Partner Cross‑Functionally to Deliver Growth

  • Collaborate with Population Health, Finance, Central Operations, Growth, and People Operations to execute against shared priorities.
  • In close partnership with the Growth team, design and execute clinic‑level and regional growth strategies.

About You

You are a hands‑on, outcomes‑driven leader who thrives in complex, multi‑site environments and is motivated by meaningful impact. You bring a balance of strategic thinking and operational rigor, and you’re energized by developing people and improving systems.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in healthcare or a comparable service‑driven environment; multi‑site experience strongly preferred

  • Comfort operating with ambiguity and building structure in fast‑moving environments
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, grounded in data and action
  • A genuine commitment to improving care delivery in underserved or rural communities

  • Create a culture of excellence by bringing your best and encouraging the same from those around you
  • Put service to patients first and encourage the same of those around you
