Lead in-person parish and school missions across a designated region, running retreats, Mass engagements, youth and parent events, and training. Represent Hallow onsite to assist with app access, answer theological questions, gather partner feedback, and support online formation. Frequent travel and relationship-building with parish leaders are central.
Who we are
Hallow is on a mission to help people pray. We’re the No. 1 prayer app in the world, with more than 1 billion prayers prayed across 150+ countries. We're building a product that is authentically Christian and Catholic, while at the same time a resource for anyone looking to grow deeper in a relationship with God. We believe that people are hungry for peace, and that there is no surer way to find it than by learning to sit in silence with Christ: “Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest” (Mt 11:28).
Our goal is to build something truly great. Something that combines the beauty of the Church's spirituality with world-class product and content execution. And we need a world-class team to make it happen.
We launched the app in December 2018 and have been blown away with the incredible growth & traction. Hallow has been downloaded more than 30 million times with over 250,000 5-star reviews. We're blessed to be backed by some of the best mission-driven investors in the world and are excited to build out the team to help a lot more folks grow closer to God.
We are a startup. We move quickly. We are small but we take big swings. Each person is responsible for making an impact. It is hard—but deeply meaningful—work. We'd be honored & humbled if you'd consider joining us.
TL;DR: You'll bring Hallow's mission directly to parish and school communities as a Regional Mission Lead - leading in-person missions, retreats, and staff discussions across your region. We're looking for a strong speaker who thrives on the road and can represent Hallow and the Catholic faith with warmth and credibility.
What You'll Do
- Parish Evangelization: Travel throughout your designated region, with an estimated 125-150 days on the road leading in-person events for our parish and school partners, including: weekend Mass engagements, parish missions & events, youth group nights and parent gatherings, school retreats for faculty and students, and more. Travel times will vary depending on the time of the year, but you can expect to be on the road about 15 days per month during heavy travel months and closer to 5 days per month during lighter travel months.
- Build and Support Powerful Prayer Experiences: Collaborate with Hallow staff and partners to create meaningful, prayer-centered experiences and to plan for on-site success. You will also help the Hallow Parish Leads assess the strength of their partnerships during your time onsite.
- Represent Hallow On-Site: Answer questions from parishioners, staff, and students about how to log into Hallow, access their parish page, their small group, etc. You’ll be trained on the product and process, and you'll make sure app access is quick and easy.
- Answer Questions of Faith: While representing Hallow, you will serve as a credible and approachable voice for the Catholic faith. You’ll answer questions from parishioners, teachers, and students with clarity and theological accuracy, and engage in conversations around prayer, discipleship, and Catholic teaching.
- Gather and Share Insights: You will consistently gather and share feedback from our partners to improve programming and engagement strategies and help identify opportunities for deeper activation and long-term impact.
- Support Online Training and Formation: In addition to the in-person gatherings, there are several opportunities we provide for our parish and school leaders to receive formational webinars. This will be an additional key pathway for building rapport and for casting vision with leaders in the lead-up and follow-up to your in-person events.
What You'll Love
- Mission: This work is incredibly humbling. Every day we hear amazing stories, and we have the pleasure of working on something that’s impacting lives. One of our favorite user quotes: "I hate quoting an old, overused cliche, but I've been very lost. And I think for the first time in a while I may be found."
- Speaking & Facilitation: Delivering engaging talks and prayer experiences for parish audiences, youth groups and confirmation programs, parents and adult faith formation groups, student assemblies / retreats, faculty retreats, and more. You can adapt your presentation and facilitation style across age groups and settings, and lead prayer in a way that is both reverent and accessible.
- Ownership: When a company is this small, every employee is a core team member with an outsized impact. You'll be one of the faces of Hallow as you play a critical role in the relationship with our parish partners.
- Growth: From day 1, you’ll be a part of the startup journey. We're growing quickly, and we’ll need your help to create a world-class team and to support our partner parishes in building community through prayer.
- Flexibility: HQ is in Chicago, but this role is remote and will require you to be on the road a lot throughout the year throughout the U.S. and Canada.
- Comp: We will pay competitive market rates in terms of equity, cash, & benefits.
What We're Looking For
- Passion: First and foremost, we’re looking for someone excited and passionate about our mission. It makes it a lot more fun to actually care about what you’re working on!
- Dynamic Communicator: You're equally comfortable speaking at a weekend Mass, a youth event, or a school retreat. Strong public speaking and storytelling ability is a must.
- Willingness to Travel: You thrive in a travel-heavy, variable schedule. You want to travel extensively, and you’re available on nights and weekends, especially for parish events.
- Adaptable and Energetic: You're high-energy and comfortable working in ambiguity - this is a new role, and you'll help shape it as you go. You adapt quickly and enjoy engaging with new communities.
- Relational Leadership: You love people and see service as a calling. You connect easily with parishioners, pastors, principals, and ministry leaders. You bring grace under pressure, uplift teammates and partners, and genuinely want what’s best for others.
- Experience: Background in theology, catechesis, youth ministry, or parish leadership is helpful, as is familiarity with Catholic school environments. Ability to deliver missions and retreats in both English and Spanish is a plus.
Compensation:
$75,000 to $85,000 USD per year (base salary)
$85,000 to $105,000 USD per year (on-target earnings)
The above ranges reflect estimated annual cash compensation. The first range represents base salary only. The second range reflects on-target earnings (OTE), which includes base salary plus target variable compensation such as commission or a renewal bonus. Actual earnings may vary depending on performance against specific goals and role expectations.
Each full-time employee in the U.S. also receives equity compensation, alongside a top-tier benefits package (e.g., unlimited PTO, insurance, remote-flexible work, fully paid parental leave, 401(k) match, and stipends for spiritual development, health & wellness, home-office, and learning). All full-time employees are also eligible to be considered for a discretionary bonus at the end of each fiscal year. These ranges are initial estimates and may vary depending on market, location, and may be adjusted based on the candidate’s experience and role alignment.
We're a small team and we care deeply about each new hire, so sometimes it can take us a while to get through the hiring process for these roles. Apologies in advance for any delays. We'll do our best to keep you updated throughout the process, and we really appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through everything.
We are honored that you'd consider joining the team and look forward to connecting with you.
Best,
