Regional Sales Director, Morningstar Managed Portfolios
The Group: The Morningstar Investment Management group consists of our investment advice, consulting, retirement-solutions, and index businesses. Through our registered investment advisor subsidiaries, we use our expertise in asset allocation, manager research, and portfolio construction to create innovative investment solutions for institutions, advisors, and their clients.
The Role: As a Regional Sales Director to join our growing external sales team for Morningstar Investment Services, Inc. (MIS), a registered investment advisor and wholly owned subsidiary of Morningstar, Inc. You will promote and sell Morningstar Managed Portfolios. The territory for this role is New York State excluding Suffolk, Nassau, Queens, King, and Richmond counties.The candidate is required to live in the territory.
Responsibilities
+ Build strong relationships based on service with existing advisor base.
+ Proactively identify and meet with new advisors in territory.
+ Conduct group and one on one meetings to promote Morningstar Managed Portfolios.
+ Follow up on leads in tandem with internal regional sales director.
+ Strategically manage time to maximize sales in territory.
+ Utilize Salesforce.com as a CRM to maximize penetration success.
+ Perform special tasks as needed.
Requirements
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Demonstrated ability to successfully market investment products to financial advisor community.
+ Strong ability to understand and evaluate a financial advisor`s practice.
+ Minimum of 2 years related industry experience.
+ Ability to work independently.
+ Strong interest and ability to explain portfolio management concepts.
+ Series 65 or 66 Licensed.
+ A bachelor`s degree.
