About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Regulatory Compliance Manager to lead regulatory compliance initiatives across multiple product lines and brands within our growing portfolio. This role will oversee evolving regulatory requirements, sustainability initiatives, and global regulatory obligations that support our expanding business.

This position has been created to support continued company growth and the integration of multiple brands across the portfolio. The Regulatory Compliance Manager will play a critical role in establishing scalable compliance processes, ensuring regulatory alignment, and partnering with cross-functional teams to support successful product development and commercialization.

The ideal candidate will bring strong regulatory knowledge, project management capabilities, and the ability to interpret complex requirements and translate them into actionable business solutions. 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key internal resource for global compliance, regulatory requirements, sustainability initiatives, and evolving industry standards.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve compliance processes that support multiple brands and product categories across the portfolio.
  • Manage the company’s EPR packaging database and oversee annual state reporting requirements, including California, Oregon, Colorado, and other applicable jurisdictions.
  • Support compliance requirements for global markets, including EU export regulations, plastics requirements, Prop 65, and other emerging regulatory obligations.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess business impacts, providing clear and actionable guidance to stakeholders.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Product Development teams to ensure compliance throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with external regulatory consultants and industry partners while serving as an internal compliance resource.
  • Lead compliance-related projects focused on risk mitigation, operational improvements, sustainability goals, and regulatory readiness.
  • Support product launches by identifying compliance requirements and ensuring appropriate documentation and processes are in place.
  • Develop and maintain compliance documentation, reporting tools, and systems to support business growth.
  • Provide guidance and training to internal teams regarding regulatory requirements and compliance expectations.
  • Travel up to 15% as needed.

Qualifications

  • 8–10+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, regulatory affairs, quality, engineering, or a related discipline within regulated product environments.
  • Strong understanding of global compliance requirements, regulatory frameworks, sustainability initiatives, and reporting obligations.
  • Experience managing EPR reporting, packaging compliance, environmental programs, or similar regulatory initiatives.
  • Ability to interpret legislation, regulations, and technical requirements and translate them into practical business processes.
  • Strong project management skills; PMP certification is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret product drawings and technical specifications.
  • Proven ability to operate independently, prioritize multiple initiatives, and make sound compliance decisions.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Background in quality, engineering, product compliance, or sustainability preferred.
  • Experience with plastics, packaging, sustainability, or environmental regulations is a plus.
  • Foodservice, hospitality, consumer products, or commercial product industry experience preferred.
