Relationship Manager

About your role:

As a Relationship Manager in the Healthcare & Insurance vertical, you will grow and retain a strategic, high-priority client, one of the nation's largest healthcare and benefits organizations, serving tens of millions of members across commercial, government and employer sponsored programs by aligning merchant products and payment solutions to their business needs. You will work across Sales, Product, Marketing, and Finance to develop account strategies, strengthen client partnerships, and deliver measurable revenue outcomes. Your work helps clients improve payment performance, communication workflows, and operational efficiency.

What you'll do:

  • Serve as the primary relationship lead for assigned clients and coordinate with internal partners to align communication, priorities, and operational support.

  • Develop and execute account plans that support revenue growth, profitable deal structures, and long-term client partnerships.

  • Identify, qualify, and advance pipeline opportunities that increase portfolio performance, contribution margin, and product adoption.

  • Lead contract renewals and renegotiations to secure favorable business outcomes and support client retention.

  • Build relationships across multiple client stakeholder levels and collaborate with internal subject matter experts to implement growth strategies.

  • Meet assigned revenue goals through renewals, cross-sell opportunities, and consultative solution positioning across the client portfolio.

  • Monitor client satisfaction, resolve business issues, and manage day-to-day portfolio activities to support retention and financial performance.

Experience you'll need to have:

  • 8+ years of experience in relationship management, account management, or business development within payments, financial technology, or related financial services environments.

  • 8+ years of experience in healthcare and insurance client management, including supporting providers, payors, hospital systems, insurance companies, or benefit administrators.

  • 8+ years of experience growing large client relationships and executing cross-functional strategies to increase revenue, retention, and product adoption.

  • 8+ years of experience in merchant acquiring, biller solutions, omnichannel payments, issuing solutions, or related payment products.

  • Experience using Salesforce or a similar customer relationship management platform for pipeline management, account planning, and client activity tracking.

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience.

Experience that would be great to have:

  • Experience supporting flexible spending account (FSA) and health savings account (HSA) programs.

  • Experience negotiating commercial terms and contract structures in complex client environments.

  • Experience with host-based systems or financial data processing systems.

Salary Range

$95,700.00 - $203,800.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Nevada, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.

For commission eligible employees, the successful candidate is eligible to earn commissions pursuant to the terms of the applicable Fiserv Sales Compensation Plan.
