  • Proactively create qualified opportunities through targeted outbound prospecting, account development, partner engagement, networking, and industry events; promptly qualify and advance inbound leads.
  • Deliver tailored demonstrations of Windnavigator, Windographer, Openwind, and RAMP connecting product capabilities to customer workflows from site prospecting and resource assessment through layout design and project development.
  • Position UL Solutions wind maps, wind resource grids, time-series data, analytics, APIs, and modeling tools based on each customer's technical, commercial, and integration requirements.
  • Lead discovery and technical scoping discussions, coordinate trials or evaluations, and build relationships with economic buyers, technical users, influencers, and procurement stakeholders.

Sales & Revenue Generation
  • Own the full B2B software and data sales cycle, from account targeting, qualification, discovery, and solution alignment through proposal development, negotiation, contracting, and close, with support from subject matter experts.
  • Maintain accurate forecasts, opportunity stages, next steps, and customer activity in the CRM; build sufficient pipeline coverage to consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual bookings and revenue targets.
  • Expand existing accounts through cross-selling, upselling, and broader adoption of UL Solutions wind software, data subscriptions, and APIs.

Conference & Event Representation
  • Represent UL Solutions and its wind software and data portfolio at conferences, webinars, customer events, and industry workshops.
  • Deliver credible, commercially focused presentations on wind prospecting, resource assessment, measurement data analytics, wind farm design and optimization, and digital workflows.

Marketing Collaboration
  • Partner with marketing to execute demand-generation campaigns, contribute technically credible content, and sharpen messaging by customer segment and wind project stage.
  • Use prospect and customer feedback, win/loss insights, and competitive intelligence to improve positioning, sales enablement, and go-to-market execution.

Internal Collaboration
  • Provide structured customer feedback and market requirements to the product management team.
  • Collaborate with renewable energy advisory, product, customer success, customer support and other UL Solutions teams to develop coordinated account strategies and identify cross-selling opportunities.
  • Participate in regular sales reviews, forecast calls, product updates, and team meetings.
  • Contribute to wind software and data strategy through insights on customer needs, market trends, competitors, pricing, and adoption barriers.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
  • Strong technical understanding of wind energy development, including site prospecting, wind resource assessment, measurement campaigns, energy yield analysis, or wind farm layout and optimization.
  • Minimum 3+ years of relevant B2B software, data, or technical solution sales experience, with a record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • University Degree plus three years of directly related experience.
  • Proven ability to generate leads, build and manage pipeline, forecast accurately, and execute consultative sales strategies through close.
  • Experience leading software demonstrations and explaining technical workflows, data products, and commercial value to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated success navigating complex B2B buying processes involving multiple stakeholders, procurement requirements, and subscription or license agreements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong English proficiency is required.

Preferred
  • Hands-on familiarity with wind software such as UL Solutions or comparable wind resource and plant design tools.
  • Experience with wind development and design processes, engineering, renewable energy, GIS, data analytics, or a related technical field.
  • Experience selling software, subscriptions, APIs, or data products to wind developers, independent power producers, engineering consultants, utilities, turbine manufacturers, investors, or asset owners.
  • Experience delivering professional presentations or demonstrations for customers and at industry events.

Key Competencies for Position
  • Results orientation and a consistent focus on bookings, revenue, pipeline conversion, and customer adoption
  • Consultative discovery, value selling, negotiation, and closing ability
  • Credible technical communication and strong software demonstration skills
  • Wind industry knowledge and curiosity about evolving resource assessment, modeling, data, and project development practices
