Services and Patient Access. Prior Revenue Cycle expertise combined with knowledge of adult learning principles will be critical success factors for the role.
Huron’s Revenue Cycle Training Offering includes providing strategic and operational leadership for the development and deployment of our client’s system-wide revenue cycle training programs, supporting end-to-end revenue cycle training and education for hospital and medical group operations. Huron is responsible for determining the learning needs of our client’s various audiences (staff and leadership levels) to ensure appropriate and effective learning solutions and position the organization for achievement of best practice standards. Huron Revenue Cycle Training Specialists coordinate and facilitate all Revenue Cycle training content and courses. In the event client Revenue Cycle staff are spread across a region, this individual will need to travel to multiple sites and conduct virtual training sessions.
DUTIES & RESPONSBILITIES:
The Revenue Cycle Training Specialist will contribute to the design and implementation of curriculum to meet business needs across the Revenue Cycle. The ideal individual will conduct training and classroom-based coaching both onsite and in virtual environments. The RC Training Specialist should seek to proactively improve learning effectiveness by using best practice methodologies aligned with performance and business outcomes.
Provide training and education opportunities across the Revenue Cycle
Deliver training related to revenue cycle systems, applications, processes, procedures, and organizational culture to the established training curriculum.
Coordinate training across Revenue Cycle departments including Patient Financial Services, Patient Access, and Health Information Management. Functions include billing, follow-up, customer service, denials, registration, and pre-service.
Continually identify training needs and define appropriate training solutions
Implement, facilitate, and maintain new hire onboarding and existing resource refresher training. Includes scheduling, tracking, and program enhancements.
Prepare training materials, documentation, guides, manuals, job aids and e-learning modules
Implement consistent training methods and learning solutions to drive organizational effectiveness, increase efficiency, and strengthen colleague knowledge, abilities, and performance.
Utilizes appropriate technology and methodology in delivering training and development solutions for revenue cycle operations, and in providing training on systems to all departments.
Contribute to improved job performance and continuous improvement across the Revenue Cycle and its staff
Continually seek opportunities to improve the methods, modalities, and approaches used for training across RC operations.
Serve as a resource providing consultative guidance relative to training and development methodologies, processes, procedures, standards, tools and best practices.
Provides creative coaching and counseling skills when dealing with training, education and development issues.
Responds to general questions and issues in application of methods, techniques and processes.
Gathers data and prepares statistical reports in order to evaluate performance and training outcomes
Develop and maintain interactive and collaborate relationships with Revenue Cycle leadership
Keep current of training and development methodologies, practices, and tools
REQURIED SKILLS:
Must possess teaching skills that enhances user learning and involvement. Ability to convey complicated information to end-users in a concise, user-friendly manner that ensures user competency and process compliance, while energizing users’ discussion and input.
Ability to develop materials and job aids to support training and utilized specialized training applications and software.
Ability to deliver informal and formal learning solutions in a manner that is both engaging and effective
Apply a variety of learning technologies to address specific learning needs
Build an organization’s culture, capability, capacity, and engagement through people development strategies.
Capture, distribute, and archive intellectual capital to encourage knowledge-sharing and collaboration.
Apply a systematic process to shift individuals, teams, and organizations from current state to desired state
Experience using learning metrics and data to measure the impact of learning and performance solutions in order to ensure training delivery is engaging and effective
Recent Revenue Cycle training consulting, and/or operator, and/or training experience in a team-based professional environment
Solid written communication and documentation skills to create and edit internal and client deliverables that are succinct, articulate and meet Huron’s standards of quality
Exceptional organization and time management skills to manage multiple priorities at once with fast-paced turnaround times
Advanced knowledge of MS Office programs and tools including PowerPoint, Word and Excel
CORE QUALIFICATIONS:
Current permanent U.S. work authorization required
Bachelor’s Degree required
A minimum of 2 years of relevant business experience in delivering workforce educational training programs, and development of course curriculum
Epic experience required
Ability to facilitate instructor led training courses
Candidates must live within commuting distance to client site (specific to individual posting)
Work extended hours as necessary
The estimated salary range for this job is $70,000- $90,000. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron’s pay for performance philosophy and Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future.
