Company Mission

Operatus provides growing companies with experienced guidance related to revenue operations and technology.

We founded Operatus with the firm belief that Revenue Operations plays a critical role in sustainably growing a business. Over the past decade, we’ve helped scaling companies align their entire go-to-market motion. We know that capable RevOps resources are in short supply, and our goal is to fill this gap in the ecosystem by ensuring access to skilled professionals on a fractional and affordable basis.

The role

You’ll be the consultant on two to four RevOps client accounts at a time, doing the hands-on work that keeps a client’s revenue engine running: gathering requirements, building and configuring in Salesforce, producing reports that leadership can trust, and running the weekly client cadence. On larger accounts, an architect owns the roadmap and data model, and you are the execution lead under them. On accounts where you’re the primary resource, you lead the engagement yourself with architect oversight.

Reporting and analytics is where we want you to stand out. Our clients have the systems to capture data; what they often lack is someone who understands how revenue moves from lead to renewal and can tell a CRO or CFO what the data says and what to change.

Responsibilities

Salesforce delivery and client execution

  • Turn client requests into clear requirements, then build them: fields, record types, page layouts, Flow, validation rules, and formula fields, configured so data is captured correctly at the source.
  • Execute data loads, merges, and backfills with tools such as Data Loader or Jetstream, define the matching and dedupe logic that keeps problems from recurring, and set the hygiene cadence across the stack.
  • Own the client cadence on your accounts: working sessions, status, priorities, and expectations on your work. Raise risks early to the architect or delivery lead.

Reporting and analytics

  • Start from the decision, not the report. Work with sales, marketing, customer success, and finance leaders to define the measures behind the decisions they are making (pipeline, conversion, win rate, cycle time, ARR, NRR, retention). Lock the definitions so they mean the same thing in every report and the client can defend them, and retire the rest.
  • Design and build Salesforce reports, custom report types, and dashboards directly against the data model. Use spreadsheets, or SQL and BI tools where the client has them, for analysis that the report builder can’t do.
  • Analyze the revenue funnel, pipeline health, and forecast accuracy, and show where revenue is leaking between stages and teams.
  • Explain what the numbers mean. Present to client leadership in plain language: what changed, why, what it does and does not tell you, and what you would do about it.

RevOps consulting and process design

  • Run discovery with client stakeholders across the go-to-market team, alongside the architect on larger accounts, and turn what you hear into requirements and a solution design for your part of the work.
  • Assess and redesign the revenue processes the numbers depend on: lead management and routing, opportunity stages and exit criteria, forecasting cadence, and handoffs from marketing to sales to customer success.
  • On accounts where you’re the primary resource, lead the engagement with architect oversight, owning the client relationship, the plan, and the weekly review. On larger accounts, be the execution lead under the architect and own your workstream on the roadmap.
  • Help scope and estimate RevOps work, mentor admins and analysts on reporting, and turn repeat work into templates and playbooks the practice reuses.
Requirements
  • 4+ years in RevOps, Sales Ops, Marketing Ops, or Salesforce administration
  • Hands-on Salesforce configuration: Flow, validation rules, formula fields, record types, and an understanding of security and sharing.
  • Deep Salesforce reporting and dashboard experience. You are comfortable in the data model, custom report types, and joined and summary reports, not only in report builder.
  • A working understanding of the full revenue cycle: lead management, pipeline and forecasting, renewals and expansion, and how sales, marketing, customer success, and finance hand work to each other.
  • Strong client-facing communication, including at an executive level
  • Experience running discovery, writing requirements, and estimating your own work.
  • Hands-on data loading, deduplication, and backfill experience in Salesforce, including the tooling and matching logic, not only the findings.
  • A track record of using reporting or analysis to change a business decision. We will ask for an example.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification.
Preferred
  • Experience in a client-facing consulting role. Has run 3–4 client accounts at the same time and led at least one engagement with only light senior oversight.
  • Sales Cloud Consultant and Advanced Administrator certifications
  • SQL and a BI tool such as Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or CRM Analytics, plus advanced Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Experience with GTM tools connected to Salesforce, such as HubSpot or Marketo, CPQ, Gong, or Clari.
  • CRM Analytics (Tableau CRM) build experience.
  • Exposure to a finance or billing system connected to Salesforce, such as NetSuite or Sage Intacct, including reconciling CRM bookings, pipeline, or ARR to finance.
Your first engagement

You’ll start on four established client accounts, each with an architect already on the team, doing a mix of Salesforce build, reporting, and day-to-day client work. In your first 60 days you’ll also build reusable reporting templates and metric definitions that the practice uses across accounts.

Success looks like clients who trust their numbers and architects who can step back to the roadmap.

Consultants who do this well move toward Architect roles: leading larger engagements, owning the data model, and shaping how Operatus sells and delivers RevOps work. We’re targeting a January start. Tell us your earliest date.
