What's the role?

The Sales & Customer Intern will work within the HERE Customer organization (CCO AMER), which is responsible for planning and executing the company’s business-to-business sales strategies in the Americas. The Intern will be responsible for leading and contributing to projects which accelerate revenue generation and competitive positioning. The intern will liaise within CCO AMER departments as suitable to achieve project goals.


Position Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of the Sales & Customer Intern will be to lead or be a key contributor to the projects described below. The intern will also aid with the ad hoc day-to-day projects supporting CCO Segments or Sales Operations, which entails undertaking of the following:

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the HERE product and services portfolio
  • Develop relationships with colleagues in other departments and regional offices to obtain knowledge and leverage it to achieve project goals
  • Gather and listen to the needs of the Customer team for effective outcomes of the projects and provide regular project status updates to them
  • Participate in weekly global team business review meetings and monthly global team business planning meetings
  • Assist and/or manage the creation and dissemination of sales management and product roadmap reports as needed
  • Formulate and deliver responses to specific customer needs and inquiries as needed
  • Other tasks as assigned
Who are you?

This is a full time (40 hours per week) paid internship opportunity for 12 weeks. Interns will be required to work on-site at our downtown Chicago office 3 days per week. Candidates who meet this location requirement and agree to the hybrid working arrangement requirement will be considered for this position. 


You are:

  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at an accredited college or university  (incoming Sophomore, Junior, Senior or graduating Senior)
  • Working knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
  • Local to Greater Chicagoland Area with access to reliable transportation to Chicago-Randolph Office (ability to work on-site 3x per week)
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Fluent in spoken and written English


Other qualifications that will be given consideration are as follows:

  • Strong presentation development skills with experience and comfort presenting to an audience
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex topics into succinct messages and recommended courses of action to engage customers
  • Knowledge of product sales and marketing concepts and strategies

Soft Skills:

  • Self-starter who can work independently with curiosity and confidence to ask questions
  • Ability to quickly understand complex technology subjects and learn through on-the-job experience, training courses, and self-directed research
  • Ability to adapt to communicate respectfully within a diverse cultural environment and effectively work within geographically dispersed teams
  • Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines

This is a paid internship with a fixed hourly rate of depending on your level of education as follows: 

Undergraduate Students:           $25/hr 


Full-time -  40 hours per week.
