About Standard Bots

Standard Bots is building the next generation of industrial robots -- hardware that's powerful, affordable, and designed to scale. We're the largest U.S. industrial robotics company by robots shipped, trusted by organizations ranging from independent machine shops to NASA and Lockheed Martin, and we're moving fast. This role is wh.ere that growth gets executed on the ground.

Note: This is a remote, territory-based role. Candidates must reside within their assigned territory in Texas.

The Role

We're looking for a Sales Engineer to own the day-to-day commercial execution in their territory -- prospecting, discovery, demos, proposals, and closes. You'll be the person on the ground building relationships with plant managers, operations leads, and automation engineers at manufacturers across your region, and you'll be the one turning those conversations into signed deals.

You'll work closely with your Regional Sales Manager on territory priorities and account strategy, and you'll be the primary point of contact for customers from first outreach through close. When a deal requires integration scope, you'll loop in the Implementation team. When a customer needs a technical deep-dive, you lead it.

You'll report directly to your Regional Sales Manager or Sales Director.

What You'll Do

Prospecting & Business Development

- Identify, target, and develop new business opportunities within manufacturing, logistics, and industrial sectors across your territory

- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline through outbound prospecting, referrals, industry events, and channel partner relationships

- Qualify opportunities early and focus time on accounts with the highest probability and strategic fit

Technical Discovery & Solution Selling

- Lead discovery conversations to understand customer production challenges, automation goals, and constraints

- Translate customer needs into compelling value propositions that connect Standard Bots' hardware, software, and AI capabilities to real operational outcomes

- Conduct product demos -- live and virtual -- that are tailored to the customer's specific application and environment

Sales Cycle Ownership

- Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through close -- proposals, pricing, negotiation, and contracting

- Collaborate with the Implementation team on deals that require turn-key integration scope

- Keep CRM up to date with accurate pipeline data, activity logs, and deal status

Account Relationships & Retention

- Build strong relationships with key contacts at customer accounts to drive repeat business, expansions, and referrals

- Represent Standard Bots at industry events, trade shows, and customer site visits across the territory

- Provide voice-of-customer feedback to your RSM and to product and marketing teams

What We're Looking For

- 3-7 years of B2B sales experience, ideally in robotics, industrial automation, capital equipment, or a related technical field

- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota -- you've closed deals and have the numbers to show it

- Comfortable leading technical conversations with plant-floor audiences and translating that into business cases for operations leadership

- Strong demo skills -- you can run a live product demonstration and handle objections on the fly

- Self-motivated and comfortable operating independently in a remote, territory-based environment

- Proficient in CRM tools (Salesforce or equivalent) and disciplined about pipeline hygiene

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

Nice to Have

- Existing network of contacts within manufacturing, industrial automation, or machine shops in the territory

- Experience selling complex capital equipment or robotics platforms (UR, Fanuc, KUKA, ABB, etc.)

- Familiarity with machine tending, palletizing, welding, or assembly automation applications

- Comfort walking a factory floor and talking shop with production engineers and technicians

Compensation and Benefits

This role is structured as an OTE compensation package, with a base salary of $100,000 to $110,000 plus an uncapped performance-based bonus tied to territory revenue. We are open to a variety of seniority levels and will build compensation packages commensurate with experience. All Full-Time Employees are eligible for Employee Stock Options. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees.
