The position is in charge of customer projects and has to ensure opportunities progress from initial customer request through application trials, system layout and quotation to purchase order.

This position is responsible for continually analyzing, developing and driving the implementation of the most effective sales and supporting processes to profitably expand TRUMPF’s market share in welding solutions. In order to increase the effectiveness of our sales force, it is required to support and consult our Sales Team and help to identify potential projects. Further responsibilities entail the analysis of market trends and helping the product manager to develop a strategic plan to ensure future growth in USMCA.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Regional Managers and Sales Representatives to acquire machine orders.

  • Manage all welding related customer projects and actively drive forward progress. Maintain overview of sales pipeline.

  • Technically consult customers and Sales in regard to welding solutions and feasibility.

  • Identify necessary part design changes, and work together with designers to find a suitable solutions for customers and make their parts compatible with laser welding

  • Visit customer production sites to understand our clients demands and find the matching solution

  • Review and process machine orders as needed

  • Build strong relationships with prospect clients and work together with on the implementation of automated welding and new technologies

  • Continually analyze and improve the laser welding sales processes (incl. sales channels, demonstrations, part design and after-sales support) to ensure customer satisfaction and profitable market growth

  • Regularly review market trends, and recommend appropriate strategies, pricing for machines and associated services.

  • Work together with the training and the services department to ensure proper training of our customers and a seamless process and a good customer experience.

  • Promote TruLaser Weld product by creating and presenting product lectures, seminars and PowerPoint presentations.

  • Maintain overview of laser welding activities at satellite locations. Organize, host and/or assist in customer demonstrations, events, company tours and trade shows throughout the year

  • Assist with customer related special projects that include the integration of automation solutions to meet customer needs.

  • Travel as needed in USMCA 25%

Experience & Skills

Technical proficiency in sheet metal manufacturing is a must. Experience in project management with an organized methodology is required. A friendly, positive, and charismatic demeanor when interacting with customers and partners is essential. 5 years hands-on experience a minimum. The ideal candidate has a background in manufacturing, with welding experience. Experience in preparing and conducting persuasive and effective presentations on technical topics strongly desired. Must be well organized, a self-starter, able to work independently and proficient in MS Office products.

Education

College degree or equivalent, preferably in a technical field, and added experience as mentioned above strongly desired. Knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
