Analyzes sales, sourcing, catalog, supplier, inventory, and project-management datasets to identify trends and forecast performance. Builds interactive reports, KPIs, dashboards, and forecasting tools for global sales teams. Gathers reporting requirements, maintains sales-performance information, supports business problem-solving, and recommends process or technology improvements. Requires strong analytical, communication, data-visualization, Excel, and deadline-management skills.
As an Analyst – Sales Operations, you will be responsible for managing large sales and performance datasets specific to Sourcing, Catalog, Supplier, Inventory and Project Management. You will be responsible for providing analytical support to sales leaders throughout the assigned Business Unit(s).
Responsibilities:
- Compile and analyze data on historical sales and trends to forecast future trends.
- Build compelling, interactive, and actionable reporting on top of structured data models that helps in deriving meaningful business insights from large and complex datasets.
- Gather requirements and design performance reports and forecasting reports for the Global Sales teams.
- Gather, publish, and maintain information related to historical, current, and future sales performance.
- Assist in developing sophisticated solutions, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and tools to achieve and support the business goals.
- Collaborate on identified ad hoc business problem-solving requests.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree required; Bachelors’ Degree preferred.
- 2+ years of related experience.
- Knowledge of B2B Supply Chain, including Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO), Electrical, Inventory, Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), Pricing, etc.
- Strong analytical abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to visualize data to tell a story that allows the end user to make informed decisions and take actions.
- 4+ years of related experience preferred.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to identify potential problems and propose possible solutions.
- Understanding of latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize tools and processes preferred.
- Ability to travel 0% - 25%.
