Team Overview

The Consumer Solutions Account Development team helps customers unlock value from TransUnion's credit reporting and credit score solutions, enabling them to make informed decisions that support customer acquisition, engagement, risk management, and business growth. Working closely with Sales, Product, and customer-facing teams, the team delivers specialist expertise that helps customers address complex business challenges through data-driven solutions. This role offers the opportunity to develop strategic customer relationships, drive commercial success, and contribute to long-term business growth across a diverse client portfolio.
This position reports to the Sales Director, Consumer Markets. This is a remote position which may require occasional in-person attendance at work-related events at the discretion of management.

 

Role Overview And Core Responsibilities

As a Sales Specialist - Consumer Solutions, you will drive revenue growth by identifying, developing, and securing opportunities for TransUnion's consumer credit solutions. Acting as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, you will help customers solve business challenges, improve decision-making, and achieve measurable commercial outcomes while supporting TransUnion's growth objectives.
 

This is an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in consultative selling, strategic account management, and complex solution sales while working with customers across a range of industries and markets.

  • Achieve annual revenue targets across TransUnion's client portfolio by identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities that support commercial growth and financial performance.

  • Produce compelling sales presentations, proposals, and supporting materials that effectively communicate the value and business outcomes delivered by TransUnion's Consumer Solutions portfolio.

  • Lead and manage the full sales lifecycle for complex, high-value opportunities, coordinating specialist resources as required to achieve successful customer and commercial outcomes.

  • Build and maintain a strong network of market contacts to understand customer challenges, competitor activity, emerging trends, and new growth opportunities.

  • Manage strategic and high-profile customer accounts across multiple geographic markets, supporting clients with diverse and complex business requirements.

  • Act as a subject matter expert on Consumer Solutions products, customer challenges, market dynamics, and industry developments.

  • Lead commercial negotiations and manage contracting activities to secure long-term customer relationships and revenue opportunities.

  • Develop and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers to maximise customer value, retention, and revenue growth.

  • Grow strategic accounts and prospect relationships to achieve revenue objectives, support customer success, and drive long-term business growth.

  • Identify opportunities for new products and solutions, contribute to business case development, and provide customer insights that support innovation and product development.

 

Required Knowledge And Experiences

  • Extensive experience in a client-facing strategic sales role, including selling complex solutions through a full sales-cycle environment.

  • Proven experience developing and managing high-value customer relationships while achieving revenue, growth, and retention objectives.

  • Experience selling into, or working within, regulated industries such as Financial Services, Public Sector, Telecommunications, Utilities, Gaming, or Gambling.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all organisational levels.

  • Self-motivated with a strong commercial focus and accountability for managing, retaining, and growing a portfolio of customer accounts.
     

Required Technical Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex sales opportunities, commercial negotiations, and contracting processes.

  • Strong sales planning, account management, pipeline management, and forecasting capabilities.

  • Ability to develop persuasive proposals, presentations, and business cases that support complex solution sales.

  • Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms to manage opportunities, pipeline activity, and customer engagement.

  • Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel occasionally to customer and TransUnion locations.

  • Ability to identify market opportunities and contribute to product innovation and growth initiatives.
