Job Summary:

Responsible for supporting the sales and information related to specialty products from communicating inventory and usage needs to assisting sales consultants with product selection, available POS and product applications.  Supports Site and Regional sales staff with product assortment updates and informational inquiries to drive operation company specialty and imports sales initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide product attribute and application details to external and internal customers.
  • Secure and provide supportive collateral to Sysco associates and customers.
  • Communicate with planners/suppliers/brokers/sales team/customer service to gather necessary information to support sales consultant sales efforts.
  • Answer inquiries regarding product availability, attributes, uses, specs or any other related information.
  • Work with site merchandising and operation teams regarding product movement with buyers and provide product/manufacturer/nutritional spec sheets.
  • Support product specialists and experts by addressing item availability and communicating product movement with buyers.

Education Required:

  • HS Diploma

Education Preferred:

  • HS Diploma

Experience Preferred:

  • Specialty food and business experience; 1 year experience in sales and/or customer service

Technical Skills and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Strong numeric and alpha-numeric data entry skills
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively in a positive manner both verbally and in writing

Physical Demands:

  • This position requires the ability to sit for extended periods and perform repetitive movements in wrists and arms on a frequent basis.
