The Role
The Account Executive is responsible for maximizing the sales of Green Thumb brands in the dispensary/wholesale space through effective territory planning, selling, merchandising and communication that enables the achievement of company objectives.
Responsibilities
- Strategize on how best to achieve sales and merchandising objectives by understanding company pricing and product programming information weekly and maintaining accurate historical account purchase information.
- Calls on dispensaries and covers daily routes by creating an established and efficient routing pattern.
- Analyzes entire dispensary base by visiting each account and identifying opportunities; completes all necessary data entry into Customer Relations Management (CRM) software (LeafLinks), surveys and account compliance where applicable.
- Understands and works with management on inventory levels by being aware of current inventory and out of stock situations and by alerting management to possible fluctuations in demand.
- Supports account openings by developing opening orders for new accounts in collaboration with Sales Manager.
- Manages customer account receivables by timely processing of credits and returns and communicating with accounts on aged receivables.
- Remains informed of HQ activities and updates by attending and actively participating in weekly sales meetings.
- Maintains professional and industry knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and establishing personal networks.
- Network and build trusting relationships with dispensary clients.
- Thoroughly understand our products and act as subject matter expert to inform clients of how to use them.
- Track customers’ preferences and suggest advertising and positioning ideas.
- Ability to manage the documents associated with medical cannabis delivery, ensuring that proper documents are kept, and manifests are returned completed and ready for filing.
- Ability to interpret and execute state laws and regulations required when delivering medical cannabis.
- Provide feedback to the Lab and Product departments regarding requests.
- Track and report on competitors’ product and marketing activities.
- Continuously review and make recommendations for current processes and programs, to ensure efficiency.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required, bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience in an outside sales role, Business To Business (B2B) sales or supporting role preferred
- Adapts and thrives in a demanding, start-up, fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of the Maryland Medical Cannabis laws, rules and regulations set forth by the state; a pursuit to further their understanding and knowledge of the industry and the laws is appreciated and commendable.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, non-verbal, written), with the ability to build relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Possesses a high level of critical thinking.
- Operates with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information
- Experience in/with cannabis is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with assigned territory is a plus.
Additional Requirements
- Must pass all required background checks.
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
- Must be approved to receive an Agent badge.
