JOB PURPOSE:
Focuses on and manages Aftermarket business insights in Resource Industries (RI) related to voice of the customer & dealer, lost sales & opportunity analysis, merchandising program & sales variance management, and RI Aftermarket training plan & coordination with Cat dealers.
JOB RELATED STATISTICS:
Internal metrics related to lost sales opportunity, sales variance budget, and number of dealer personnel trained.
JOB DUTIES:
This position will be part of the Resource Industries Aftermarket Services (RIAS) - Sales Execution team with global responsibility for:
- Liaising with field and internal business partners to understand & close gaps related to lost sales, growth opportunities, voice of the customer (VOC), voice of the dealer (VOD), and competitive intelligence.
- Managing process & standard work with the RIAS CRM tools (i.e. Salesforce), including developing insights from these tools to support RI Aftermarket sales growth targets.
- Developing growth strategies & plans for Aftermarket opportunities beyond the Critical Few such as filters, upgrades & retrofit options, etc.
- Developing, managing, and tracking the effectiveness of RI Aftermarket sales merchandising programs primarily focusing on regional mining customers and the associated regional & local merchandising programs with the intent to drive parts sales growth.
- Managing & coordinating the RIAS training plan for Cat field teams and Cat dealers focused on the Mining segment, including but not limited to onsite advanced training, dealer webinars, eLearning, and Masters program.
It is estimated the person in this position will travel approximately 25% of the time to understand regional and worldwide conditions.
Basic Qualifications:
- A college or university degree
- 4+ years’ experience in job field

- Awareness and familiarity with the Cat product line, Aftermarket offerings, and Cat dealer network
- Strong & proven data analysis capability.
- Creation of marketing plans and presentation materials, and presentation (verbal & written) skills
- Strong appetite for learning & listening, and clearly display initiative
- Strong project management & execution skills
