We at Everspring are looking for someone that has a good start in a sales career but looking to transition to selling a highly professional, complex product in a very relationship-oriented, long-term focused way. This is a great position for development and growth in sales in a rapidly-growing company and industry.

Everspring is a small-ish, post start-up, growth-stage company that provides full-service management of online graduate education programs for traditional, non-profit colleges and universities. In this role, you’ll initiate relationships with prospective university clients through research and cold calling, raise awareness of Everspring, and cultivate academic relationships over the long term. We have a highly team-oriented, collaborative environment.

This is an on-site position located in the Chicago Loop.

Responsibilities:

  • Source new opportunities through outbound cold calls and emails
  • Generate interest in Everspring by researching accounts, identifying and contacting key players, and gaining a thorough understanding of customers’ unique needs
  • Work closely with sales executives to transition qualified opportunities for further development and closure
  • Help refine and develop messaging as well as define needs for marketing materials that resonate with our target market
  • Inspire prospects to take the next step by articulating the Everspring vision, positioning the company, and overcoming challenges and objections
  • Gain a deep understanding of the online education space. Develop understanding in institutional and school goals in offering online education.
  • Work with internal teams in a highly collaborative environment to hone your ability to add value to your relationships by challenging and problem-solving.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a traditional university in an on-campus, classroom environment
  • 2-5 years of inside sales with relatively high volume outbound calling experience
  • Experience selling an education-related product is a plus
  • Track record of sales success
  • Ability to effectively communicate with academic contacts and different levels within a university including faculty, deans, associate deans, and provosts
  • Strong phone presence with understanding of developing ongoing contact strategies
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong listening skills and ability tailor messaging to audience
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
