The Challenge:

We are looking for an Inside Sales Representative to help grow our business. Your role will be to create new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience developing leads from marketing campaigns and meeting sales quotas. You will use your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with customers. Ultimately, you will boost sales and contribute to our long-term business growth. This position is critical to creating engaged potential customers at the top of our sales funnel. It’s important to us that you have a passion for cutting edge technology and a knack for conveying the value of our offerings in an approachable way. We’re a start up, so you can expect things to move quickly and to be challenged and supported by the team around you.

The Skillset:

  • 2-5 years of experience of successful sales and lead development in B2B SaaS and/or technology sales 
  • Passionate about technology, thrive off customer interactions, and enjoy the pursuit of helping grow a business 
  • Self-motivated, creative, and results-oriented, while always doing what is right for the customer 
  • Focused and flexible even during rapid growth and change 
  • Clear written communication and fluency of expression 
  • Skilled in using Salesforce or a comparable CRM

In 30 days, you will...

  • Get to know oak9! Learn about our systems, processes, people, and vision 
  • Become intimately familiar with cloud service provider offerings and security considerations associated with them 
  • Learn about the oak9 value prop, how we add value for our customers, our competitors, and the cloud security landscape
  • Observe customer calls to learn about the product and interactions with buyers 
  • Understand our target customer personas and how best to engage them 

In 60 days, you will...

  • Quickly develop your knowledge of the oak9 offerings and our target customer profiles and verticals 
  • Craft a prospecting campaign and messaging to engage customers 
  • Practice intro calls with internal oak9ers and friendlies to gain confidence in your ability to tell the oak9 story and answer 100 level questions 

In 90 days, you will...

  • Conduct outbound prospecting via email and phone calls 
  • Use data from prospecting campaigns to inform future, target campaigns 
  • Establish a solid foundation to ensure we achieve monthly quotas of scheduled demos and qualified opportunities
