PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the management of purchase orders, inventory & supply for accessories including finished goods, working from MRP system outputs, material requisitions, customer orders and new product development.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Monitor the supply versus demand and place purchase orders with established suppliers weekly in order to support the material requirements plan, min/max targets and customer order fulfillment for 900+ items.
• Work with supplier representatives in order to manage prices, production, and shipping & delivery schedules as well as work with suppliers on lead times.
• Manage daily shipping documents from suppliers and validate quantities, pricing, and PO #’s match incoming shipping documents for clearance.
• Manage the custom accessory business; hold weekly meetings with suppliers and internal customers as well as place PO’s for new sales orders and track shipments for quality control.
• Achieve assigned goals regarding backorder lines, inventory levels and inventory turns.
  Responsible for timely processing of discrepant material dispositions when appropriate.
• Act as lead supply chain representative on NPI (New Production Introductions) as well as current initiatives for cost reductions.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Responsibility breakout: 

• 50% weekly planning for purchased finished goods.
• 25% managing shipment documents, updating PO’s with container information, maintaining PO dates based on weekly updates from suppliers
• 15% meetings for NPI, projects, custom accessories, weekly supplier meetings
• 10% responding to internal and external requests.

EXPERIENCE

Three (3) + years Material Planning/Purchasing/Supply Chain experience in a production environment

EDUCATION
B.A. in related field or equivalent. APICS and CPM certification preferred.
