The Director of Luxury Sales is a fully competent individual who is a proven leader in the hotel sales process and function. A top producer within the hotel, who has demonstrated strategic performance, commitment and expertise in both corporate and luxury sales. The Director will solicit, through direct sales and marketing efforts, accounts which exhibit potential for business in our luxury downtown hotel.
Responsibilities include:• Overseeing business travel and luxury sales for the reimagined Park Hyatt Chicago; sharing the exciting $60 million dollar renovation with our partners, clients and advisors• Creating and implementing strategic plans for business travel accounts, both volume and local, in order to meet/or exceed revenue goals (including Suite & ADR growth, market share shift and Prive targets)• Planning for and owning corporate RFP season for all volume accounts• Bulding relationships and staying aligned with the Hyatt Sales Force Team in all markets• Manage the relationship and strategic marketing efforts for all luxury consortia partners (American Express FH&R, Virtuoso, Signature, etc.)• Sales Calls & Business travel to Account portfolio, Tradeshows, Prive events and Fam Trips• Orchestration of quarterly and annual account reviews and market action plans; collaborating with Park Hyatt counterparts to drive production and revenue to transient segments• Actively research B2B opportunities in driving revenue, brand awareness and account management• Meet or exceed sales solicitation call goals as assigned by the Director of Sales, Marketing & Events• Invite clients to the hotel for entertainment, lunches, tours and site inspections• Managing and maintain partner websites with copy, content and imagery as updated to reflect the Park Hyatt Chicago guest experience• Meeting and getting to know our guests to understand and provide meaningful interactions and a luxury, personalized guest experience on a consistent basis• Able to work independently and makes decisions based on established policies and procedures while sticking to budget• Preparing for, participating in and leading team meetings as needed.• Managing and developing a sales coordinator in their role; helping them to reach their career goals.
Salary Range:
Salary range for this position is $76,000 - $114,100 actual pay will commensurate with experience

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
  • Refined verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of hotel sales or like experience preferred.
  • Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, RFP Express, Lanyon, and Salesforce.com
  • Has completed selling, negotiating, business writing, and presentation skills training
