Department OverviewThe Inside Channel Specialist is required to promote sales growth by developing, nurturing and enabling their respective mid-tier account assignments within the NA Channel Partner ego-system.
The Inside Channel Specialist will create awareness of Motorola Solutions product, software and services by leveraging their subject matter expertise. This individual will also be skilled and proficient in our internal sales enablement and development tools. The inside channel specialist role with need the ability to establish strong business relationship at all levels of the partner’s organization with the express desire of becoming their trusted business advisor.
Each channel specialist will be assigned a geographic area and will be expected to collaborate with their corresponding field sales counterparts. The channel specialist role will be measured and held accountable for both an individual and territory based goals.
Establish trust and build strong business relationships with their assigned mid-tier accounts.
Drive targeted call campaigns and radiate sales within assigned Partner community
Think strategically by analyzing territory/regional data & trends and other operating metrics.
Demonstrates thought leadership by bringing new and innovative ideas forward that will continue to transform the channel sales organization
Constantly engages with the product team (quarterly) for new product, solutions or service offerings and coordinate appropriate training.
Partner closely with Sales Management & Marketing Operations to ensure flawless and seamless execution on promotions, lead management and hand-off activities.
Provide high level leadership, counseling and coaching of partner sales resources.
Participates in territory/regional meetings and conference calls, as appropriate
Incremental responsibilities specific to the customer & sales team being supported will be assigned, as appropriate
Bachelors Degree in Business or related field
Sales/Sales Management/Inside Sales or Support experience is a plus
Proven record of achievement in delivering sales results and developing collaborative relationships
Strong understanding of our go-to- market strategy and Sales Way philosophy is required
Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
Time management skill is required and must have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex, fast-paced environment
Exceptional presentation skills required.
Strong coaching skills required; experience in conflict mgmt and situational leadership is a PLUS
Customer focused; detail and achievement oriented
Confident individual willing to assume responsibility and hold people and themselves accountable.
Strong individual contributor and team player that is self-motivated with a high degree of energy
Ability to make decisions while maintaining an upbeat and positive attitude in a faced paced work environment
Adaptive and flexible (changing technologies, processes, environments)
Ability to work in an office environment but flexible to travel as required.
Bachelors Degree and 2+years of inside/outside and/or field sales experience.
