What we’ll bring:

  • In this senior level consulting role, the individual will join TransUnion’s Innovative Solutions Group team with the key responsibility to drive customer engagement efforts and the sale of trended credit and alternative data solutions.

  • This high profile position will serve as an expert for TransUnion’s powerful solutions, uncover customer problems leveraging data, position TransUnion’s capabilities to solve those problems, influence strategy and ensure the achievement of revenue targets.

  • The individual will leverage TU’s data, analytics, and market insights to illustrate how trended credit and alternative data is translated into actionable strategies.  Using prior, on-the-spot, and on-going experiences and knowledge, this individual will quickly process dynamic customer environments, constraints, and opportunities to provide data, solution, and process recommendations to improve existing environments.

  • The Innovative Solutions Group (ISG) at TransUnion is responsible for the product development, analytics and solution consulting for TransUnion’s capabilities. ISG understands market and customer trends and work closely with internal stakeholders and external customers to define, refine, innovate and deliver solutions that address current and evolving customer needs. The solution consulting team operates within ISG to drive four success factors: customer engagement, sales enablement, product strategy and post-sales success management.

     

Requirement section

  • Leverage TU data and capabilities to gain insights into industry trends, consumer behaviors, and customer dynamics. Communicate these insights into strategies to drive revenue.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert resource for TU solutions and provide advice across the spectrum of lending/banking initiatives.

  • Understand the risk management, marketing, sales and business processes of client organizations and leverages knowledge to develop business insights that drive an increase in sales opportunities through more advanced customer conversations.

  • Apply analytics and industry knowledge to seek, identify, evaluate, and recommend TransUnion solutions to further penetrate customer relationships; address complex conceptual and analytical issues when consulting with customers, solution definition, product/solution positioning, product/business value, and ROI analysis.

  • Represent qualified expertise and immediate credibility during customer meetings with acceptance as the subject matter expert, quotable resource and as a trusted advisor.

  • Help define and facilitate the path forward for customers to understand, analyze, implement and adopt our solutions, with a goal of accelerating revenue realization

  • Seasoned financial services and analytic expertise, with mastery of a wide range of lending industry practices, products and functions through the entire consumer credit life cycle.

  • A graduate degree in statistics, mathematics, business, finance or related field required. Requires a minimum of 7 years of experience in credit, financial services consulting or other financial services industry area, preferably in a client-oriented field. Direct experience on the client side of lending strongly preferred.

  • Proven ability to direct cross-functional teams to the successful execution of strategy and the delivery of complex projects. Must possess proven mentoring and coaching skills, with a philosophy that personal success is driven by the success of the team.  Individual must be collaborative

  • Well organized with excellent analytical skills, combined with superior oral and written communication skills.  Excellent project management, tracking, and reporting skills are a must.

  • Innovation is a primary requirement with examples of “outside of the box” thinking and superb problem solving. Innovation is a primary requirement. The individual must be experienced in change management. Creativity, flexibility and initiative are also required.

  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure. Accountable for delivering results. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects with varying due dates and requirements. Ability to interact effectively with senior management, executive management, fellow team members and outside stakeholders.

  • Demonstrates thought leadership and ability to develop and continually improve the solution / product / service offering, and communicate TU’s competencies to clients. Must be a self-starter with entrepreneurial approach to client interactions. Requires high of energy level and ability to display creativity in positioning solutions and strategies. Must be flexible, pragmatic and driven to achieve organizational goals.

  • Excellent knowledge of major software applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and some database applications.  Experience with SAS, machine learning, R and other analytic tools is also required. Must be able to compose and/or coordinate complex correspondence such as reports and presentations in a clear and concise manner.

  • Communicate clearly when interacting with others in person or while on the telephone. Must be comfortable and accomplished at speaking in front of large and/or executive-level groups.
