JOIN OUR TEAM

We are searching for the perfect person to join NextCapital’s Business Development team. The Business Development team is responsible for the acquisition, management, and strategic growth of NextCapital’s Enterprise Partners. This person must be a self-starter and problem solver, who understands the nuances of consultative selling and relationship management, and is able to proactively identify and win new opportunities, generate buy-in across key stakeholders, and deliver a leading solution and experience.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Prospect & Partner-Facing Responsibilities:

  • Develop working partnerships with a small portfolio of 2-4 enterprise partners, and become their trusted advisor and strategic partner
  • With a detailed understanding of the integration lifecycle, work side by side with the partner to maintain continuity to their high level success plan
  • Efficiently mobilize and deliver all of NextCapital’s available resources & solutions to translate business needs and product requirements into new solutions for customers
  • Identify and assess new business opportunities that maximize assets and revenue
  • Deliver winning proposals and RFP responses and masterfully negotiate and renegotiate contracts / pricing
  • Onboard new partners with a focus on maximizing adoption
  • Keep up-to-date knowledge of the industry, competition, and NextCapital’s positioning in the marketplace
  • Research, compile, and deliver thought leadership and best practices
  • Represent the company at industry and company sponsored events

Requirements

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • You have 2-4 years of experience in management consulting, technical account management, or enterprise software sales
  • You understand the value chain of Retail Wealth management, Asset Management and/or the Defined Contribution marketplace
  • You have highly effective communication skills: able to translate complex issues in an understandable way to c-level executives and a diverse array of internal and external stakeholders. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • You are focused on data and metrics to garner insights and deliver value
  • You understand contract structure and are comfortable managing negotiations with large enterprise firms
  • You are a quick learner and tend to approach the unknown with creativity and curiosity
  • You have demonstrated the ability to handle difficult customers or situations under pressure and can drive resolutions
  • You can build and nurture relationships with multiple stakeholders at your customers to solidify our partnership and commitment to the customer

  • Expand your management purview of NextCapital into Business Development, Solutions Architecture, Project Management, and beyond
