Sales Development Specialist
Sprout Social is looking for ambitious, outgoing and tech savvy sales representatives to join our fledgling Sales Development team.
Our sales team has worked with more than 15,000 brands around the world. Companies like Adobe, Pivotal Labs, Google, Marvel, and Evernote rely on Sprout to create stronger relationships with their customers through social media.
ResponsibilitiesYou will spend most of your time doing the following:
- Generating new business leads through outbound prospecting
- Qualifying inbound web demo requests and inbound calls to introduce Inside Sales Executives
- Develop targeted lists, call strategies, and messaging to drive opportunities for new business
- Run initial discovery calls with current prospects
All sales roles at Sprout Social should expect to:
- Identify customer requirements and expectations in order to make tailored product recommendations
- Prioritize leads, research prospects and positioning products within the context of business requirements
- Thoroughly qualify all leads & sales opportunities
- Manage follow-up with calls-to-action to lead through sales funnel
- Exceed activity and pipeline goals on a quarterly basis
- Create a great first impression to our prospects and customers
Desired Skills & Experience
- 1-3 years inside sales, account management, sales development, or lead generation experience in the technology industry. Software sales experience is desired
- Consistent track record of exceeding sales quotas
- Driven to succeed and resilient in the face of challenge
- Exceptional organizational, presentation, and communication skills - phone, email, and webinar
- Technical expertise and ability to acquire knowledge of new products
- Demonstrated understanding and application of effective selling strategies and techniques
- A passion for building new business
- Demonstrated ability to deal with change
- Willingness to work in a collaborative work environment
